Another upgrade Ques.

I wish I got that call. We got 2 CAT 10's on Deck 1. I would have taken it in a heartbeat. I am happy with my upgrade from 12's but would have taken this in a heartbeat!

You are not in the basement on deck 1. There are at least 3 decks for CMs below that and probably more with the engines and such.

Glad to hear I might not be as bad off as I am thinking. However, When I read a review of our room it said something about stuffing something up in the fold down bunk if we were not using it (we are) to help keep the creaking and clicking down. We have a 2, 8 and 12 year old and I guess I feel like we are away from everything down there. Also, I read that when the ship is docked you have a long walk to your room down here because they shut part of the area down for the gangway. (I think thats what its called) I was only teasing about being in the basement.

My inlaws booked through a local agency in Arizona. I will be bringing a 12yr old boy as well.

Category 9 on deck 1 is not the basement of the ship. We've sailed on Deck 1 (it's ground level) before and this time when I upgraded us, I picked the exact same staterooms. That ground level deck is SO quiet and peaceful! Not a lot of traffic in the halls, I loved it! I would say it's one of the best areas for a stateroom (mind you we were and will be almost in the middle of the ship, near the midship elevators).

THanks for the info. I was not thrilled when getting assigned the CAT 10's on Deck 1. I am however thinking it is not as bad as I thought it was going to be.
