My bf read both books but I haven't. I just watched DaVinci Code about a month or two ago. I saw part of the trailer for the sequel. I'm not sure if it'll be scary or not but it looks like it's just packed with suspense.

Yeah, the book was just non stop suspense. It was SO good! Some graphic violence scenes that I wont go into since you have not read it. I dont want to spoil the book or movie. For some reason I just cannot get into Tom Hanks as the character after reading the books first. I pictured someone else, not sure who but when they announced who it was I was disappointed and I LOVE Tom Hanks.

I just finished reading The Time Traveller's Wife. It was okay....some parts were boring but I thought it was just so-so. I still have 4 new books to read. My bf has a Barnes & Nobel membership so I've been using his discounts. I also printed coupons from Border's website.

Where dizzy lives its about 20-30 degrees cooler in the summer. Everyone from the valley (Phoenix) escapes to go up in the mountains so its not too bad up there. Gets very cold for her though! BRR. I hate cold. I get sick of the heat but I can take it better than I can freezing temperatures.

Okay, this summer we are all moving into Dizzy's house!

I haven't but my little sister LOVES that series. I also got her hooked on The Mysterious Benedict Society and the sequel to it. There is 3rd one coming out in October.

She's really into Artemis Fowl books and she liked Eragorn

Hi Wanda and welcome to the Hyena thread! WOW! You're a premed student and have time to post on the DIS. You're just the sort of recruit we're looking for on our thread, someone who is an overachiever, but knows that posting on a Disney board is a much higher priority.

I live in Washington state, so DL is closer for me. But my sister lives in FL, so I get to visit WDW also. Personally, I prefer WDW....but don't let the rest of the Hyena's know...but I go to DL on occasion just to amuse them.

7th place last race???, AHH! What's going on Chad?? I haven't seen the race yet but I read about in online. Down by 3...so if Reed gets 1st and Stewart gets 2nd in Utah then they will be tied for Vegas. That would be so cool! But the bad part is that I don't think we are going now. I'm not too sad because we might be booking a cruise for mid May today, we'll see.

So pix, did you read Angels and Demons? I thought it was better than the DaVinci code but I'm worried about the movie. The book was pretty graphic. I hate graphic scenes in movies but want to go see it. I just wished I liked Tom Hanks in that role.

I cant WAIT to see that movie. it took me a while to get into the book.. I think I actually had to start it 2 or three times to be able to get into it. But once I did, I really liked it. Not as much as the DaVinci code.. I such a geek.. I totally get into all that stuff.

meanwhile.. I am SO sick. My ear hurts. my head hurts, I have snot pouring out of everywhere.. uck. I have been fighting it for a few days, but it has hit me HARD CORE. My husband said it is probably due to lack of sleep... as he pranced out of th ehouse house to work after a full 8 hours.. butt monkey.

Anyone care for another joinee? Now that my TR is done I am going crazy without something to post taking up every waking minute of my time (while ignoring everything else that I should be doing). What an addiciton.

My name is Jessica (a.k.a. Jazz - a nickname I got in one of my speech/debate classes) and I live in the Bay Area (CA). I'm 22 years old, and am the only Disneyland (heck, Diney in general) lover in my family. Makes for rough times. Just spent a few days there a couple of weeks ago and I've been itching to go back the second I had to leave.

It's usually the mom who gets sick darn it all! Hope you feel better soon. I had the same ickyness a few weeks ago, took a long time for it to end which had nothing to do with not enough sleep in my case. I think it was just a particularly bad cold virus.
My sis and I took turns passing it between our famlies. Somehow our husbands managed to evade the virus..HMPH!
