I would. With hair like mine... a regular straightener wont work. SHoot.. With the amount of money I have spent on cheaper straighteners, I probably could have bought a super expensive one. My hair is almost as curly as Mikalahs, and no matter what I do, I cant get it straight. Hence... the pony tail. :lmao: I would LOVE to have it straightened... A woman that used to do my hair offered to do it.... For the super low price of like $300. Give me back m pony tail!!:lmao: :lmao:

Yeah, I know how those bad hair days are.:rotfl2:

okay, I'm happy with the results of tonight. I love when one of the women make it to the final four, it's weird but in the world of chefs.. it's dominantly a male profession. Odd when typically the women do the cooking at home.
What Alison said...
Well that's an easy one to figure out...why would a woman want to cook at work and then have to come home and cook for her family? It's like doing a job 24/7!:scared1:
Yep.
I understand it.. but there is a special place in my heart for DL. Easy going and relaxed pace works for the family.

Hubbys said today he has no desire to go to WDW or DL.. he only want to go to DL in Japan. I laughed and said yeah in your dreams! :lmao:

I dont know how I feel about going to WDW. I would like to give it a go, but it seems like its.. I dont know, almost too much. You know? I know Disneyland, I can get around.. its close enough to drive there.. I dont have to worry about getting my kids off and on shuttles.. Which is huge for me right now with the twins coming. Can you imagine trying to get a massive double stroller and two babies onto a shuttle?? Not to mention Alex and Mikalah!! And Frelan!!:lmao: :lmao: Plus my sister lives close to DL. So we knock out a family visit with a trip to Disneyland!!

I could go either way, it's about the same distance.
Flying of course, but I have considered a driving trip to CA again since we know it can be done. Just need to medicate myself into a coma thru Colorado.. eeeeeek!

You would be just like everyone else at WDW...a whole slew of people getting on and off buses with strollers and lots of little kids.:lmao: When I go to WDW with DH we usually rent a car. But if I go by myself with the kids I like to just take the buses. Of course my sister usually comes over and we have her car part of the time.

Actually I think you would really like it...yes, there is a lot to see. But you can go several times and never see or do it all. When I go to DL it is nice, but I never feel like I'm totally removed from the "real" world like I do at WDW.

We've talked about drivng to Chicago .. museums are something we love.
Then I found out there is a bus that if you hit the weekdays to buy tickets you can go for less than $20 RT per person. Hubby siad I should take the boys and go someday.. me .. uhhh go to a strange city by myslef with the boys.. where I have NEVER been??

nope.

I do have an aunt and cousins who live in the area, but I haven't seen them since I was like umm 17. :lmao:

:rotfl: My only experience with Colorado has been the Denver airport, so I really have no idea what the state is really like.

The next time you get a hankering to do a solo Disney trip you should go to WDW. My sister has an AP and I'm sure she would love to meet you there.:thumbsup2 Of course you know that I would be forced to fly there also.:rotfl2:

I almost went to WDW this time round .. the free days promo is enticing. But it cost a bit more.

ROAD TRIP!!! DO IT!!!! Then drop in unexpectedly on your relatives.:rotfl: You only live once. Time to hop on outside that comfort zone.:thumbsup2

Not if you crash at my sister's house. She has 4 bedrooms, only 2 of which are occupied.:thumbsup2 Head on over, you're welcome anytime.

Want to get your kid's attention try this:

DS: Mom, here's an extension cord that I just found under my bed.

Me: Caw Caw (loudly like a crow, flapping arms)

DD: (sitting on couch with a horrified, yet puzzled look on her face).

DS: Uh, Mom?? I said I have this extension cord thing, what do you want me to do with it?

Me: Caw Caw.

DD: What did you say? (with bewildered look on her face).

DS: Taking several steps backwards. Obviously thinking Mom has gone insane. (looking ready to bolt for door).

Me: Laughing hysterically. (with both kids looking very concerned).

Me: I've always wanted to do that! Thanks I'll take the extension cord.

DS & DD: (still staring at me, probably hoping & praying that the insanity isn't genetic or contagious).

I wish I could convince my sis to go on a trip with me, she needs the break from the round of preschool , IEP meetings, doctor appts, therapy sessions, applying for services and the mountian of paperwork to maintain said services.. a crabby husband who likes to spend money-- that they don't have-- teenager and crowd of friends at their house every weekend and of course the demands of young children with all their own unique needs.

Makes my head spin , she's so freakin busy every day.

ALISON!! I have been meaning to ask you about something!! Dont leave.. K?

WHEN I AM AN OLD WOMAN I SHALL WEAR PURPLE

With a red hat which doesn't go, and doesn't suit me.
And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves
And satin sandals, and say we've no money for butter.
I shall sit down on the pavement when I'm tired
And gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells
And run my stick along the public railings
And make up for the sobriety of my youth.
I shall go out in my slippers in the rain
And pick the flowers in other people's gardens
And learn to spit

You can wear terrible shirts and grow more fat
And eat three pounds of sausages at a go
Or only bread and pickle for a week
And hoard pens and pencils and beermats and things in boxes

But now we must have clothes that keep us dry
And pay our rent and not swear in the street
And set a good example for the children.
We must have friends to dinner and read the papers.

But maybe I ought to practice a little now?
So people who know me are not too shocked and surprised
When suddenly I am old, and start to wear purple.

Apparently he hasn't been to Typhoon Lagoon winding his way around the Lazy River in an innertube...only to stop at the next landing to grab a fruity, frozen alcohol drink to sustain him until the next time around.:thumbsup2 Now that is the way to enjoy a theme park.
If I ever make it to WDW, that's where you'll find me, floatin' down the Lazy River with a fruity alcoholic beverage in my hand. Ahhhhhhh! :lovestruc

You should do it. I had mucho fun with my sister on our trip. At first I kind of felt guilty leaving the kids behind. But as soon as I was at the end of the driveway that feeling disappeared completely.:lmao:

Uh Oh! I'm in trouble now aren't I??:lmao:

Okay.. I saw on another thread that you had said the cap for unemployment in Washington was $515 a week.. When we filled out the stuff for Dh's unemployment through his work, so he could get paid the days they miss when they shut the shop down.. He qualified for $541. Is that because he is on a different program? If he lost his job, would we suddenly get less?? not that we get the full amount, right now we only get the amount for one day.. Which is $108. Anyhow.. Do you know? :lmao: Probably not, huh?

Wonderful!
I can just imagine your DD thinking.. OMG mom has finally lost it!

:lmao: :rotfl:

Perhaps she know's something I don't...she's been asking me for years now if I'm crazy. Of course I always reply "yes", so I don't know why she's surprised.:confused3
