My sister sent me this today. She has been informed by the HOA that no plowing will be done and they will have to wait until it melts. Outrageous you think, but really, where would they put all of this?...
Colleen A, told me that she wished PA would have gotten this storm. She loves the snow, and she said she hates to see summer come. But I told her maybe next winter she will get the big snow storm she is wishing for.
That HOA better be ready to be sued! What if there is a fire or other emergency & the fire dept or ambulance can't get down that road?!
If our condo association even TRIED that....you'ld never hear the end of it. If cities like Boston & NY can move snow....then they can. We have to move snow here all the time. Plow it, then use a bobcat or backhoe to get it out of there.
We did it in Blizzard of '78. Over 36 inches! It took a wk --but it was done.
It is supposed to be in the 50s for the next few days, so hopefully there's will melt. Our streets were plowed by the city plows yesterday, and they are dry today. We just have HUGE drifts all over the place.
There's alot but like TC said, it will melt pretty quick. We had over 3 feet at our house and then the guy next door plowed his drive and stacked it up at the end of ours-a six foot pile behind my truck. We shoveled part of it down and it has melted a lot so i will be off to work tomorrow.
