Another tickets w/package question...

Forgive me, as I'm sure it's been asked before, but I don't have time to search!

I purchased one day base tickets for my family to go with our package (the offer that expired 3/27). We have AP's, thus the one days.

So, do these one day tickets have an expiration date? I don't think we'll renew our AP's, so what the heck can I do with them??? Can I use them on another trip in the future?

If they aren't non-expiring tickets, then they are only good for 14 days from the start of your trip, though I don't know if they don't expire if you don't use them.

For example, re expiration: As long as the ticket has not been run through any turnstile it is considered unused and is valid forever

Good to know! I wasn't sure if the "expires after 14 days" thing applied to unused tickets. Thanks for clearing that up!

I think you can have them "pull" the unused tickets off of your room key so that none of your party will accidently activate the ticket by using it to enter a park. Ask over on the theme parks board if this can be done and if so where.

Yes it can be done. Just go to any guest services at any park or at DTD and they'll pull the ticket off and issue you a paper ticket. We've done it several times and have then used those tickets on subsequent trips. As long as they are never put into a turnstyle they're not activated so are good forever. I've even given some away and since they aren't attached to anyone's finger scan they've been able to use them without any problems.
