I just logged onto my itinerary, you know, to change and look and change again.
I now see a nice EMM slapped right on top of my PPO Crystal Palace adr.
Way to go, you money sucking vultures!

Rant over. Thanks to anyone who listened :)

early morning magic...
park hours were to be 9a-9p.
so i booked crystal palace 825.
now emm is 745-9.

it is ticketed. You get a couple rides open and a buffet at Pinocchio Haus

Yes, that one has been around (I didn't recognize EMM right away) and it looks like it has been expanded. What a shame to plan an early morning and get hit with that.

Josh from easywdw reported on it. Says has almost no impact on people with PPO ADRs. Your talking about a couple hundred people and some of that will be eating or moving out of fantasyland while you beat the rope drop group.

Oh man, I got excited for a minute but I see it's still just scheduled out through September. There have been many reports that this event has minimal impact on regular touring plans.

I still only see it for Tuesdays and Sundays in September. Am I missing the expanded days somewhere?

Just noticed its offered 2 of our MK a days in Sept but they're also the same dates as MNSSHP which often means park attendance is lower...at least until 4pm when party goers begin to arrive.

We had a 8:00 CP reservation on an EMM day. I really didn't feel like it impacted us at all. My main goal was to get castle pics without the huge crowd and then get a jump on PP. We were let in at 7:45 and had no issues getting castle pics - the EMM people all went straight to Fantasyland. We finished with breakfast and were on our way at 8:45 - could hear the welcome show ending. We jumped right on PP and were the first non EMM people to ride. We were able to get to Ariel's Grotto and were the first group in line at 8:55. We got a ton done that day between 9 and 10.

That's great to know! Thanks!

They don't sell many tickets for it (by design) before it's sold out. You won't notice them.

No problem! I was a little concerned about it myself. Our PPO day was supposed to be a different day - we had an 8:15 BBB appointment. The week before our trip hours were changed and the park opened at 8. I scrambled to grab that CP ressie in the hopes I could still get my castle pics! It worked out perfectly. Other than DH's displeasure at the cost of yet another character meal! :rolleyes1

Same thing happened to us, 8:15 breakfast at CP, then EMM got slapped over it. Honestly I'm tired of all the paid events shortening hours left and right , like it doesn't cost enough money to go there anyway, and to plan out your days only to have events suddenly scheduled.

This was almost exactly our plan, but because of EMM and on a couple other recommendations, I dropped our Splash FP and picked up one for Peter Pan instead, and plan on going to Splash right after breakfast. Now I'm wondering if I have left it alone and headed to PP first instead. Lol always second guessing these plans!

I agree in that the EMM people did not make much of a difference at all to our PPO breakfast. Still got a huge jump on many rides back to back including 7DMT. Maybe when they initially let you in at 7:45 it feels more crowded but the emm people quickly disperse. They only get 1 exclusive hour to ride 3 rides they paid lots of money for so they didn't seem to hang around taking castle photos.I have pics with no one in the backgrou d at all

This happened to us, but I think we will stick with the BOG PPO. At least we will get a jump on the crowds for one ride and possibly get some nice photos.

I don't think it expanded so much as moved beyond the original limited dates. Plus, they moved from Saturdays to Sundays.

Sorry to hear about your breakfast, but I love EMM! It's only ticketed event I actually think it really worthwhile.

What if you have a ressie for breakfast, then they change the hours to make it an EMM day. If you keep your ressie, say it's at 8:15 a.m. then suddenly park opens at 7:45 a.m., do you then have to pay for the EMM?

No. You just go to your breakfast venue. You don't get early access to any of the EMM attractions. See post number 10 for an actual experience.

#1 EMM does NOT shorten park hours for anyone else. The park opens at 9:00 on EMM days just like it does every other day of the year.

#2 If your PPO reservation isn't until 8:25 or 8:30, you are going to have a heck of a time getting through breakfast, and out into the park before they start letting regular guests in at 8:45 or so.

#3 The number of people they allow in for EMM is not going to significantly alter your experience.
