Another Ticket Question????

We are buying 4 day hopper passes for the 4 of us. DD(11)DS(7). My husband and myself. I havent bought the tickets yet, Is it better to get the tickets when you get there. Can you buy them at the resort for the advanced price?? I really want to go ahead and buy them, so Im not tempted to use the $$$ should we have an emergency. Do most of you buy ahead or pick them up at your resort??? or just wait???

No, you cannot get the advanced price at the resort.
Advanced price is buying them before you arrive.

And be sure to check out the discount ticket brokers on line. I believe most of the "unofficial" sites have site sponsors with good reputations.

Some include sales tax in the posted price, others don't. Many will match the price if you find it lower elsewhere.

I've purchased mine in advance from Ticketmania or other online brokers. Their costs for PHPs are much lower than Disney's. But if you're looking for just PHs, then Disney's advance purchase price is the lowest that you'll find.

One note: Since I joined the Hotwire Savings Club this spring, I found that their 4-day PHP is actually less than Disney's price for a 4-day PH.

But, I have to say that I would never recommend spending the emergency fund on WDW passes. They are non-refundable, so you would not be able to get your money back if you need the cash.

Hi. If you are members of AAA, you can get a good price for park hoppers from them. I also would recommend ticketmania.com. I think it is always cheaper to purchase your tickets ahead of time, except for the annual passes.

I think the OP doesn't want to use her ticket money for something else. Is that right? Do you already have your money saved specifically for the tickets?

I also noted that your children are of the age they might enjoy the water parks and disneyquest. Are you sure you won't use a plus option for these? I just want to be sure that you don't buy a park hopper and get down to WDW and find you need a park hopper plus.

I agree with the listings. In checking prices (e.g. AAA) make sure you ask for the sales taxes in addition to the ticket price to compare "apples to apples" in pricing. And don't forget the delivery fee charges too.

We just got back from a June trip. We bought the 5 day Hopper Plus. We thought that on our "off" park days we would go to the water parks. But, we were so tired from the park days, the heat, sun, etc., everyone wanted to stay by the pool at the villa. Even at a water park, it is hard to rest.

Might want to consider the regular Hopper and use the extra money going to an evening dinner show or Downtown Disney.

How much are Hotwire's 4 day PHP? How many plus options are included?

The 4-day PHPs are $208.96 (adult), and $167.75 (child) at HWSC. Shipping and tax are included in the price. The passes include one plus option.

Disney charges $215.13 (adult) and $172.53 (child) for the advance purchase of a 4-day PH (no plus options). The price includes tax but shipping is extra.
