Another ticket question

I have a 2day base ticket and one complimentary park hopper for my trip next week. I want to use the park hopper on the last day. How do i make sure when I go to the parks the first two days that the hopper doesn't get used until the last day?
 
It should be fine as long as you don't go to more than one park until the last day.
 
Go to guest services and have them set an order for your tickets, so the 2-day ticket gets used first.
 

Only at guest services outside the parks or Disney Springs.
 
Of course, the other option is to use the ticket media itself to enter the park, rather than a MagicBand, unless you don't have the actual tickets of course.

I have read recently that sometimes even this strategy doesn't work, because even a card can access your MDE account and can pick whichever ticket is prioritized. Which makes sense, since a card also accesses your MDE account to use your FPs.

This will not work. You want to ensure that the correct ticket is used BEFORE you enter the park the first day.

As others have suggested, stop at Guest Services. You can call ahead of time and ask them to prioritize, but I always check right before I enter the park to be sure. Fixing it AFTER you enter is a huge hassle. I usually ask a CM with an iPad at the entrance to scan my band before I use the touchpoint, as a last check. He or she can see which ticket will be used first.
 
Another easy trick that the GUEST can do is to create a fictitious "extra guest" in your MDE account (one for each of you who needs to keep tickets "isolated.")
Then, transfer the ticket that you want to isolate to the fictitious guest, and keep that ticket there until you are ready to use it.
Then, transfer the ticket back to YOUR name.

This only works with never-used tickets.
Once a ticket starts to be used, it cannot be transferred between guest accounts.
 
Thanks everyone. Looks like I'll be going to guest services to be sure, since I don't have a "paper" ticket.
You can still move the entitlement as @Robo described.

You'd have to do it right before you enter the first park. Then move it back after you enter the park on day #2. This way you won't lose your pre-booked FPs and you protect the entitlement yourself without hoping that Guest Relations prioritizes them correctly for you.

Ok so help me figure this out. Me and my mom have 2day base tix and 1 day hopper. My dd and my little sister have 3 day base ( 2day bought by me, 1 day added on by mil was supposed to be a hopper). So I now know I have to go upgrade the girls last day to a hopper at guest services, and also specify that I want us to use our hoppers on the last day(spending the am at AK and heading to MK after lunch). So if I create and extra person in mde, do I do that after I get the girls upgraded? Or should I make an extra person for me and my mom and wait and upgrade the girls when we get to AK the last day?

The tickets that need the hopper added should be upgraded as you leave the park on your 2nd day so that they don't get inadvertently used rather than the Base because you have two different tickets in their Profiles.

You can add the Profile now - Ticket Saver - and have it ready to hold your ticket and your Mom's ticket.

Keep all the tickets linked to the correct people so that you can pre-book everyone's FPs.

Then, before you enter park #1, reassign the hopper tickets to Ticket Saver. After you enter park #2, move the hoppers from Ticket Saver to your Mom and to you.

Alternatively, if you don't want to be reassigning the tickets yourself, you would have to go to Guest Relations before you enter a park to ask them to prioritize your tickets so that the Base ticket is used first. And if you're planning on Guest Relations to prioritize, you can upgrade those other two tickets and have them prioritized, too.

No, leave them until right before you enter park #1. Reassign them to Ticket Saver at that time.

After you enter park #2, reassign the tickets back to Mom and you.

FPs remain for 1.5 days without a linked ticket so you won't lose the FPs. Just don't forget to move them back after you enter park #2.
 
I just realized I never came back and updated. I moved everything around in MDE myself and it worked perfectly! Thanks again for all the help! :)
