Another ticket question

We will be going to wdw but plan to go one day to Universal and IOA. What is the best choice of ticket for us. We will do both parks in one day. Right now we are leaning towards to the 5 day pass. It is cheaper than paying for each park individidually.
Any other options to consider??
Also, does anyone know if this pass is transferable. If we don't use the days, we were just planning to give it to someone else we see while we are there so they can use it. I know they really don't want you to do this, but is it possible. Is there any way they check who actually used it the first time opposed to who uses it afterwards.

Tickets are not transferable. The bonus pass is good for use for 5 consecutive days. The days start on the first use of the pass.

You can get the 2 day/2 park or 3 day/2 park passes. Unused days never expire.
