Just wondering if TGM is worth the $$$. I have used Passporter for both DCL and WDW. It really helped. I was just made aware of TGM so any comments would be of great help!!
Thanks

Personally, I love his service and have found information that I had never heard before (and believe me, this came as a shock to me!!). He is well worth it. :cool1:

Please use the search feature to read one of the hundreds of similar threads. Here's a good start. Basically like any tool, it is worth it if the tool can help you. Good luck! :goodvibes

I signed up for Tour Guide Mike in 2003, I signed up again for this past September's trip. Then I signed up again for our next August 2006 trip. I love his tips, his information and I've always felt it is wel worth the $ spent:)

Heh .. I'm surprised someone with 1,000+ posts hasn't seen this question answered ad nauseum. Search is your friend.

This month's trip is the first time I'll be usind TGM. I really like the information I got from there. I found out things I didn't know before, and he's always updating with the most current information. I have been very happy with the money I spent to sign up for it!

I considered myself a park veteran as we have gone almost every year since I was in high school and now I take my kids, but I found TGM very helpful. He doesn't give you your own personalized itinerary, but he gives you the tools to personalize your own itinerary. This helps as when you are in the parks, if there is a change, you are quickly able to put your learning to work for you and go with an alternate plan.

That said - with TGM you get out of it what you put in. There is a lot of articles and researching. After purchasing this time I had my itinerary already planned, but after spending just a couple hours on his site I totally revised my itinerary and an really looking forward to a nice peaceful stressless vacation. :sunny:

I purchased it to see what the fuss was about.

I took a good hard look through everything over the course of about a month, and I gotta say - I'm less than impressed. I didn't see anything over there that's not here on the DIS.

I don't much care for the way it's setup, either. It's really confusing.

Just my $.02.

TGM was the best $21.95 we spent on our trip. The MK touring
plan was absolutely dead on, and the best park/best day section
was extremely helpful in planning.
My wife thought I was a geek for using it......and then when we did
the MK in early August and never waited more than 15 minutes for
an attraction the entire day.....she was quite impressed.

This was mentioned in a very long previous thread about TGM- but I think it bears mentioning. The DIS rules, don't get me wrong, but the problem is you get so many opinions about everything. Of course that makes sense given all the people that post here. The good thing about TGM Mike is that he is an "expert" or at least you need to believe he is the expert if you are to use his service. You trust his expertise and you get one way of doing things (not a dozen different ideas of how to do things)- and that in the end can be much simpler.
I used TGM for our recent trip and found him to be correct every time. Although he provides a vast amount of information, if you like to read about Disney you can learn how to think about Disney in terms of lines, crowds etc. Think of being taught to fish instead of being given a fish. That way even if you deviate off the suggested plan, you can make good educated guesses on what will be good to see when. I would definetly recommend his site-just be aware that you need to be fond of reading!

I see your point, however, over the past two years we have done DCL. So, we have not been to WDW in over three years. :sunny: I was just wondering if a lot has changed. :confused3 I have actually not heard of TGM until I started planning this WDW for Jan.

Big Fat Disney MaMa, thank you for the code.

Is it possible to print off from TGM website? Or, do you have to read from the computer only?

Thanks for all the help.

You can print it out- I'm not one who likes reading on the computer. I took all my printouts with me with I went to Disney (with my one page synopsis' I wrote up) and was set! He also has express printing pages and printer friendly pages.

If you have a PDA (PocketPC, PalmPilot, etc.), you may wish to save TGM pages on it. It's a lot cheaper than printing, and it fits right in your pocket. It works great for me. ::yes:: Of course, I also have a 2" notebook overflowing with printouts.
