I’m debating on whether to bring my Summer 3D+ (or whatever the name is) for my 3 year old (she will be 3 years, 3 months when we go). I can get by without it at the airport as I will be bringing my tushbaby to help me carry her. And I have carried her plenty through our Disney world. She hasn’t always been the best about staying in the stroller so I find the stroller to be more of a hassle at the airport but she has been getting better about going in the stroller when I ask her to lately.
My concern is that while I’ve carried her a lot in the past, she is getting bigger and heavier. So, I’m trying to decide if I’ll regret not bringing a stroller or it it will end up just being a hassle to have one. I wouldn’t use it on the ship cause she can either walk or I can carry her around the ship and we can go back to the room to rest if need be (she doesn’t usually “rest” on vacation so I doubt we will do that much). So, the only place I’d really use it is at the ports.
We are going to St. Thomas, St. John, St. Maarten, and castaway cay. We aren’t doing any excursions but at St. Thomas, I plan for us to go to the beach and since it’s just the two of us, don’t plan on bringing a stroller at that stop and the same with castaway cay. The other two I plan to do walking around the port area and going to the shops (maybe pirate museum). Are the shops at the ports stroller friendly or are they too small for a stroller or do many have stairs to get in and out stores?
What did any of you do with regards to stroller or not when you took a more newly turned 3 yr. Old on a cruise?
I’m thinking maybe besides my tush baby, I’ll bring my baby carrier and see if I can get my kid on my back by myself too. If I can do that, maybe that could work instead of a stroller? Idk. I’m worried about my back hurting from carrying her.
