Hello All-

While this is my first time posting, I have been a long time lurker and have gained valuable information from all of you.

We are going to bring our two girls (4 years and 15 months) on a wonderful vacation to Disney World next month Sept 28th through Oct 5. We have a Combi stroller that we love, but are considering either a sit n stand or a double umbrella stroller since the 4 year old will inevitably get tired.

Wondering from all of you experienced parents out there, what is the best way to go? Should we just bring ours from home and rent one at the parks or is it worth paying for a new stroller for the sanity of us? ;)

We are staying at Pop, so folding the stroller for buses is a concern.

Thanks and looking forward to hearing all the great advice.

Nikki

I would probably rent if I were you. I had a regular stroller. A bit smaller than a normal one, but bigger than an umbrella. It was a pain to lug around though. But it was wonderful to have and did hold our bag of stuff we bright as well. I would stay away from the double umbrella as it is so wide and you may find it a pain to steer and get through places. Your other one may work though. I have never used one like that, si I don't know much about them.
There is pros and cons to taking your onw verses renting. I did like having my own becuase I could carry stuff in it even thouhg my DD didn't really ride in it too much. It was nice at the airport too, becuase I jsut piled stuff on it as well. LOL!

I would bring from home. It will aid you in travel through airports, to parking at airport, and to hotel room...you won't know how far you'll have to travel from the bus stop to get to your room...you're familiar with your own stroller and I bet you can close the sucker in seconds. If you rent one, you've got to wait in line to rent and wait in line to return. IMO, bring one from home!

Thanks for the advice. I think we are definetly leaning towards bringing our own. Now I just hope my 4 year old doesn't get too tuckered out from walking. We plan on resting in the middle of the day for some downtime that all four of us will need.

Thanks again

I also recommend bringing one from home...those resorts and the walk from the bus stops are long ones with a tired kiddo. Even the mono resorts have long hallways, plus the walk from where ever you need to drop off the stroller in the parks. Given the price of rentals, you'll probably come out ahead if you buy anyway.
