Another stroller Question?

I'm looking to purchase a sbs double stroller for our August trip. I have already done searches on the stroller topics, but I have just a few more questions that I'm hoping can be answered here.

I have narrowed it down to the Chicco Citta and the Jeep Wrangler Twin Sport. Obviously I'd like to get out of this as cheap as possible, but I'll spend the more money if it will suit our needs better.

I am unable to find the Citta in any stores to see how heavy it is or how easily/small it folds up. My main concern is if I can easily take it onto the busses as they will be our main source of transpo. Anyone that can answer that for me?

Also, I REALLY like the Jeep's feature of the mesh back, since I think it might be cooler for the baby (he'll be 11 months) but the chickie at the store thought it wouldn't be very good support for his back.
Also I was concerned that the 3 point strap wouldn't be enough to keep him in. Any more info on that would also be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!!!

How old and how much do the children who will use the stroller weigh?

The truth is that if I were spending my money for a double stroller I would definetly look for something with a higher weight limit, like a Maclaren.

If you are using the stroller for a young baby I would choose the Chicco because of the leg extender, that makes a baby much more comfortable because will keep him or her from sliding. And the canopy looks a bit bigger than the Jeep one.

The age of the kiddos probably would have helped huh?
My dd will be 4 (but she's tiny, 32lbs) and my ds will be 11 months.
The canopy doesn't really concern me cause I'll be buying the solar sheild one anyway for either stroller. The amount of time that the baby will spend in the stroller makes the expense worth it.

Thanks for the tip!

We went in March and took our Chicco Citta Twin. It was great. We also used a double ray shade for extra protection and it was perfect.
The citta is heavier and stiff to fold, but in no way was it too heavy to get on and off the busses as that was our main mode of transportation as well. I could even fold it and carry it on while holding DS, although it was harder than having DH handle the stroller while I took the kids.
I couldn't bring myself to spend more than I had to on a stroller we wouldn't use much longer.
DD is almost 4; 30 lbs and 42 inches tall and DS is 18 months and 22 lbs. Weight limit was really not a concern for us but I was worried about canopy height and getting enough coverage for both kids without having DD feel crowded.
The canopy is detachable and can be adjusted to the height you need, DD never complained and neither kid got even a hint of sunburn (thanks to the ray shade). The storage baskets are small and impossible to get into if the seats are reclined. However I did like being able to hang a tote bag on the handles.
Good luck with your decision, I am sure either one will work well!
Have a great time!!!
