I've never stayed on property before and I am a 1st time mom. Will I have a problem bringing a stroller on the bus to the parks? I am shopping for an inexpensive lightweight stroller but most only fold in half. I know the Combi's fold in half and then fold again but I am not looking to spend over $100 for another stroller. I am afraid that I will go to get on a bus and they tell me I can't bring my stroller on the bus.

Thanks

There are tons of strollers on the buses- don't worry! Try and find the lightest one you feel comfortable with since it can get akward to keep lugging it around.

We have a Mac Techno which is great since it fold like an unbrella, but it is a little more than you wanted to spend. A lot of people seem to like the Mac Volo and the Mac Quest and they are closer to the $100 range.

Good luck!

Dont worry about it; there are so many strollers on the buses.

We took a Graco travel stroller (CHEAP) that only folded in 1/2. It was still very small and easy to manage on the buses and in the parks.

I was able to get the Mac Triumph for $106 including tax and shipping from babyage.com!! It is a great stroller! Light, folds like an umbrella, has a canopy, basket, reclines and holds up to 55 lbs!!!

We have always taken a stroller on the buses, the monorails and ferries too! Only problem is when the buses are really crowded and you have to stand with a bunch of people on top of you while holding a stroller and trying to balance everything else!!!LOL That can get troublesome!

After our 4 years of strollering the parks I recommend:

Midweight stroller
- the really light ones can't hold anything and the heavy ones are too hard to get on and off the buses

A good size bottom basket
- hanging a bag on the handles ALWAYS makes the stroller tip over
- get a baby bag that slips in and out of the basket quick and easy, so
you can pull the bag, fold the stroller and get on quickly. Don't pile stuff
in there so it's a chore to unload it and no place to put the stuff while
the stroller is folded!

Reclining seat back
even if only one position, your baby or toddler will need a nap.

Canopy
Get their head out of the sun and get lotion on their legs and arms

Easy to operate belt
DON'T GET LAZY and fail to belt your toddler in. I have seen too many
get up and run while mom or dad was looking somewhere else. There are
too many distractions at Disneyworld!

A stroller with a cup holder
- unless you have a family member who will always hold your drink for you. I thought so. Get the cup holder.

A tray and cup holder for your toddler
May seem like a pain but we fed our daughter from there so many times

Gate check your stroller
- if you check it with other baggage the gorillas will jump on it and it will arrive with a bent axle or torn canopy
- Also Orlando Airport is huge and you will want the stroller there and
while waiting for the planes

Once when we needed a new travel stroller we just waited and bought
it at Walmart after we got to Florida!

I can't rave more about the Grace Mosaic. It is $99 at Target and that is what we are using. Go check it out on-line. It has some great features.

This is the one I have and I love it. Lightweight, folds up real small and convenient. It partially reclines if they want to nap, has a canopy, and holds a child up to 45 lbs! My son can use this for years.

Is this stroller easy to push? Do your feet kick the back of it when you're pushing??? (I hate when that happens!!)

Yeah, it was easy for me. It's light, about 11 lbs. It was a little low for my husband to push, but he's over 6ft tall.

Only problem with strollers on the bus, you have to take the kiddo out (and all your stuff) and fold it up. Bus drivers aren't supposed to move the bus with open strollers on board.

We have taken a Graco LiteRider on about half a dozen or so trips with the main rider ranging from 4mo to 3. I think it is a great size for an infant, has the recline, large basket, the child tray you and choose to use or not use and it had a parent tray (ours broke off) We have also taken a cheap umbrella stroller with the main rider being 2 and 2 1/2. On our last trip we had a Volo for our 3yr old and the Graco for the 1yr old. I loved having the carry strap on the Volo, so DH could take the large stroller and backpack and I could take the Volo and baby and still have an open hand to help the 3yr old on the bus. My sister took her Evenflo from her travel system and it just seemed so much bigger and bulkier than our Graco. If by chance our Graco dies before our next trip, I will replace it with another Maclaren.
