Another stroller question...sorry...Combi Double

I looked pretty hard at this stroller and chose not to buy it. What I liked was the fold, thought the sunshades were good, it is lightweight, and it came with the trays already. What i did not like was that when I put my then 20 month old twins in it at he store, it felt pretty flimsy. It also had a lower weight limit than I liked, I really wanted so something with a 50 point limit for both seats.

What I ended up purchasing was the maclaren twin triumph. I found one for a great deal on eBay. It is a lot sturdier, folds really small, and i have easily used it to push my 6 and 5 year old nieces in it who were both likely over its weight limit (they're tall girls). Albeebaby.com has a twin techno 2011 model brand new for $270 right now. It's a step up from my model.

But my favorite stroller for WDW is the baby jogger citi mini or the britax b agile double (so similar). They don't have an umbrella fold but it's a quick one handed fold and a much better stroller overall. For younger kids, especially a baby, I think it's a superior choice. Much better recline, huge sunshades, easy, easy push. It will have a much longer lifespan IMO than the Combi, and your kids would likely find it more comfortable than the maclaren.

Just my two cents.

I didn't care for the Combi and ended up with a Maclaren twin techno for our twins. Even at 20 months the maclaren is getting heavy to push with them in it. I LOVE my BOB revolution Duallie and my friend raves about her Britax b-agile double stroller (her kids are 4 and 1).

Thanks so much for the advice! I'm glad I asked!! Love the britax double just wasn't sure about the fold being small enough. We have a single techno from maclaren that we have loved so I should look at the double...just figured it was out of my price range:). Y'all are wonderful and very thoughtful for taking the time to help me out!

We have a combi double and it's GREAT for short trips, etc - but NOT something you want to push around Disney all day long. It's not a great drive/ride - but was awesome for the airport with my twins --- we did bring it to Disney for the airport- and then rented a City Mini double + ride on board to use at Disney for our 3 boys.

this past trip we were able to get a used City Mini double for cheaper than renting so we just brought that - since I wasn't that worried about it getting ruined or stolen (as I would have been with one of my expensive strollers).

the city mini is truly the best Disney stroller if you ask me - great drive/ride, nice recline for naps, fits big kids (my 6yo even napped in ours daily on this trip!)... nice storage, huge sun shades, etc. Fold is fast and easy as can be.
