And yes as the wife of a coach I agree with Alex's advice...CALL if you cant make a game. We actually had to forfeit a game recently because 7 out of 12 kids didnt show up and we only knew about 3 of them(one was our DS).

And heres another tip for parents of young players...make sure your kids keep an eye on their waters at the sidelines. At yesterdays very hot game we had a couple kids decide to dump out other kids waters.

All weather sport? I thought it was a Fall sport. At least in FL with the scorching sun and our little ones wearing DARK green shirts to really absorb the heat!

Arrive on time...
Yell encouragement - but no coaching (or bells!!!)
Bring water, juice and lots of fans, ie Nana and Papa!
Bring an umbrella
and a sense of humor...

And call!!!

A couple of years ago we had a game...
it was about 36 degrees and snowing, we were on a peninsula and the wind was whipping across. The other coach and I were talking and we both agreed to let them leave on jackets sweat pants etc...
The Referee shows up and says sorry....league rules...
I thought the girls were going to FREEZE!!!!!!!!!!!!
