Another satisfied disneyite!/December cruise?

We got our member # yesterday! Now we already have reservations at OKW in June and are considering the cruise special in December. Has anyone cruised at this time? Are the specials offered frequently or is this truly a one time thing?

Thanks to everyone on this board. I have been looking at DVC for years and finally we did it! (We bought resale at OKW)

My first chance to say Welcome Home and maybe I'll be the first. I just closed on my OKW resale last week and got my membership number on Monday. Doesn't it feel great?

I know the cruise special was offered last year due to the 7 day being new, they did run a good special for the same time of year...whether it will be a yearly thing or not, I guess only time will tell. Enjoy and WELCOME HOME

This years dates for the fall specials are the
last week in October and November except for
Thanksgiving. This is just what I've heard, so
better call to be sure. I saved 92 points on the
November 10 sailing. I also think it is only on
the 7 day cruises. Anita.

We are already booked for Dec 8 - 15 on Magic. This week does come under the Fall Fantasy program. We saved 42 points over what we originally paid. We have never cruised during this time of the year and based on what happened this past year we are somewhat concerned about the Ship being able to dock at Castaway Cay, but hey, it's still a vacation.

We cruised on the millinium cruise the week after Christmas 99. The weather was generally great. We swam at Castaway Cay(although it was a little cool) and my boys were able to do the Dolphin Swim in the Bahamas which was a little more cool. Other than that everything else was great. Swimming on the boat was fine.
