Another resale story - all the juicy details!

WooooooooHoooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Okay guys, I've been waiting to post this for you and I am unbelievably excited! WELCOME US HOME FINALLY!!!!

We made an offer on a BWV contract on January 20th and I just got off the phone with Pat Spell and Disney let it through! (A month never lasted so long!!!) Here are the details :

Boardwalk Villas 200 pts. August use year
129 pts banked from 2001 to be used by August 1st.+
200 pts banked into 2003 + all of 2003 points (total 529pts)
We paid 72.00 per point (averages out to about 78.00pp after closing costs but we don't mind since we almost purchased Beach Club at 84.00 before Magical Beginnings was offered)

Can't wait to make our first reservations! Couple more weeks and we'll be good to go!

Well, I'm celebrating...I've been doing the Caddyshack "happy gopher dance" all afternoon. My husband says (jokingly) that I owe him big time...he's not a big Disney fan, but he says if I'm happy, he's happy. Isn't he the greatest!

Congrats to both of you. Mine was just approved the day we came back from WDW. I called my resale broker daily while we were at WDW since she said she was supposed to hear back from Disney any day that week. It was hard for the wait.

LR_BCV - We're thinking about burning the 129 pts on AKL Concierge in July for our 15th anniversary. We're definitely going to go somewhere for Thanksgiving - BWV if we can but we would be happy at any DVC property.

BTW my husband informs me (my math is terrible!) that we averaged out to 74.25pp not 78.00. I feel even better now!

we just bought into the dvc, at bcv. and our anniversary is also in july and the funny part is we are also celebrating our 15 year anniversary to, but im still working on dh to celebrate at our new home(bcv). wish me luck!

Congratulations! When we bought our resale we got lots of banked points also. It makes it worth the wait. So glad yours went through ok.

My BWV resale also came with plenty of banked points which we're using up at OKW this May. I just banked 206 Sept 2002 points into 2003, so next year will be fruitful as well. I hope to always feel like I have points to burn!
