$50/day just doesn't seem like enough after looking the prices!
We're budgeting $100/day for two adults and a 5 year old boy (who has a hearty appetite!) If we do counter service meals for lunch (without soda) those are roughly $8-10 per person, so there's $30. Dinners look like about $15-$20 per person, so there's another $50-60. We plan on ordering breakfast and snack items from Vons (and a case of water) to save on costs. But, if you throw in a few snacks anyway that's probably another $10/day, so 30+50+10 = $90! And that's not including a character meal and whatever we pay to Vons ($50?) for breakfast/snack items. It's sad that our food will cost more than our plane tickets and more than our hotel. I really hope I'm overestimating!
