Uh oh, better watch out for the mug police! popcorn::

We have YOMD mugs from last year. They are going with us in April. I plan on using them. I hardly think Disney is going to go broke over it. Besides, they took the appetizer and tip away from my meal plan, I think they can afford a cup of morning coffee that costs them maybe 1/2 cent. :lmao:
I hear you.

I'm NOT arguing, but I do have a question ....

You are okay with taking something that let's say costs WDW a half cent. Where do you draw the line?

What if the food court sold penny candy, one cent per piece, with each piece costing WDW a half cent. Would you feel okay about taking a piece or 2 or 3 every day?

How many would think nothing of taking their McDonald's cup back next week, next month or next year for free refills?

Taking something one has not paid for used to be called stealing when I was little. Now I guess some people call it entitlement.:sad2:

Just my 2 cents.

OK, don't want to get into it....sorry! WAY too many sensitive people on these boards at times. :) (Not stating that directly to the person quoted above either).

I should probably just stop posting in any mug related threads, but it seems I just can't help myself at times. I guess it's just the little piece of evil in me that likes to see people get riled over something that in no way effect their lives.

I promise, this is my last posting in any mug related thread ever. :goodvibes

I wonder how many members of the "mug police" don't bat an eye when they take Lime Green Mickey paint chips by the dozen from Home Depot....:rolleyes1

(not to condemn or condone either)

I may be part of the "mug police" but I have never taken a Lime Green Mickey paint chip.

The only paint chips I take are samples when I am trying to decide what color to paint a room.

As a business owner I am well aware there are hidden costs of what others think is a half penny cup of coffee or the 2 cent soda refill.
----------------------------------------------------

Even if the syrup is free there are still other expenses I am sure that are not covered

Such as the cost to carbonate the syrup ,the cost of the dispensers. the cost of the ice, the cost to deliver the syrup, the pay for the CM's setting up the machines, the electricity to run the machines, the cost to maintain the dispensers, not to mention the cost of liability insurance in case of a lawsuit from a "slip and fall".

I am sure there other expenses I am missing but I assure you there are a lot of "hidden costs" in that mug of soda and even pennies tend to add up when hundreds of thousands of mugs of soda are dispensed weekly.

JMHO

Well then clearly it wouldn't apply to you then, eh? Don't believe I was singling you out in any case.
Geez...it was a joke...meant for humor...ha ha...lighten up...please don't let Disney soda profit get to you that much--it will only cause premature wrinkles.;)

What anyone does in their real life is their business. If you feel it is right to reuse a mug, pool hoop, etc you have to live with that decision. When they post on the DIS that they have no problems breaking a rule then we have a problem. As a moderator my job is to make sure we don't promote cheating Disney. Thank you to those people that understand where I am coming from.
