I'm adding in taxes and tips to my trip budget. That being said, are sales taxes included in the park if the kids were to buy a souvie? And on food, is there tax too? At the carts, not just restaurants? What's a typical tip at the hotel - I was thinking of leaving $5/day for Mousekeeping (hahaha, love it) - but do we tip the front desk people? I'm a lousy tipper and I don't want to get it wrong.

Food is also taxed at the same rate. Prices on menus in TS and QS locations generally do not include taxes. Carts and kiosks will sometimes include taxes (e.g., churro, popcorn, and ice cream cart prices already include tax). The menu boards will say "sales tax included" if it's already in the price.

If you purchase an item from inside a store, sale tax is almost never included in the price. I believe the sales tax in Anaheim is 8%. So you will need to factor that into your shopping. A handful of outdoor vendor sell items that already include sales tax (e.g., balloon sellers). However, those will say "sale tax included" or something along those lines if that's the case.

No, you do not tip the front desk people.
