:confused3 Can anyone explain to me how the reception/seating cards work? I was under the impression that you have a sitting chart and each person's spot is marked with a placecard. Now I am seeing that there is a placecard table?? I don't get it. If anyone can please explain this to be it would GREATLY be appreciated!!! Thank you in advance!!

I am having an intimate so I dont have to deal with this but what I am pretty sure this means is that instead of having an exact specific chair/seat for that person you just assign them to a table.... for example when your guests arrive they go to the place card table and find the card with there names. The card will have a number on it. They then find the table with the same number and have a seat anywhere at that table.

You can do seating either way. You can do a seating chart, and then put placecards on the table, or you can just do placecards which are picked up as people enter the cocktail hour. Once the reception starts and they head to their tables, they choose their own seats at the tables.

You can do it the way you think best. We had the placecards on a table as they entered the reception and the numbers on the tables. There are so many cute ideas and your placecards can also be used in other ways. I have seen where the favor had the guests name and table number on it and they pick them up on the way into the cocktail hour or reception.

We made small white chairs and had the guests name on card stock as part of the back of the chair. Inside was chocolate "kisses" for them to enjoy later.
