Still deciding on DVC and coming up with questions....

Do you get the same priveleges as if you paid cash for your room? For instance, are you able to use your room key as your park ticket and for charging priveleges? Would we only make room ressies through DVC and buy our tickets separate and have them added on the key? And can you use ME? Would like to know how all this works.

You can use ME and you can charge with your room key. We have AP's so I don't know the other answers regarding room key and park tickets.

You call Member Services to book your rooms. The only exception that I know of is if you wanted a spur of the moment room at a DVC location when Member Services is closed. People have gotten these ressies right through the resort...I haven't ever done that.

If you pay with cash at a DVC resort I believe that you get trash/towel service daily...Someone else may be able to verify that for you..

You will NOT have daily housekeeping (unless you want to pay extra for the service). You will have towels replaced and trash removed on the 4th day unless staying 8 or more days when you will have a full housekeeping service on day 4 and a Trash/Towel four days later.

DVC stays can still use DME and point stays can add the DDP for stays. Charging privileges may be placed on the room key and some types of admission media can be encoded on the key. DVC members will get fre parking at the theme parks and have access to EMH, just as amy other WDW resort guest. (Those are not DVC perks, but are available to all WDW resort guests.)

Memebrs do get free valet service at DVC resorts and are allowed to pool hop - based on pool accessibility and subject to blackout dates. DVC members also have a list of discounted meals, tours and other services.
