another question re vistana villages

Hi everyone this is my second thread, so please be patient with me,
please can anyone tell me if there is a section there called COURTS, if so whats it like, thanks

Courts is a section at the Vistana Resort, not the Vistana Villages. Courts is apprently a section where most people don't want to end up. I'm sure others will elaborate!

I'm not positive, but you may be thinking of the Vistana Resort and not Vistana Village. We stayed at VV a few years ago, and I do not remember there being any sections, just building numbers.

You are right, there are no sections, only building numbers.
The OP has apparently confused Vistana Villages with the Vistana Resort.

Courts is an older section (perhaps the oldest?) and some have complained about the units there.

I'm sure those who have stayed there will respond. You can also do a search (at the top right of the Orlando Hotel and Attractions page) for Vistana Resort Courts to read what others have said about it.

The Courts is indeed the oldest section at the main Vistana resort (not the new Vistana Villages). It was an already existing condo community when Vistana developers acquired the land in 1980. Someone recently stayed in the Courts section on the DIS and posted pics last summer.

Alot of people, myself included, find this section a little dated in appearance---especially compared to the newer sections at Vistana. In general, you really only have a chance of getting assigned to this section if you have a Saturday check-in. Friday and Sunday check-ins are pretty much not placed here.

You're welcome Toni.
The Courts probably aren't too bad on their own. But it's the fact that Vistana will charge the exact same price most times for the brand new villas which are very modern as they do for these much older condo units. The contrast can be quite stark between the two and this is where you can get unhappy people.

You can see pics of the newest sections (Cascades and Lakes) and compare them. I think Vistana would have alot less complaints if they informed people ahead of time which section they were being placed in and charged appropriately according to the age of the section. I think people see and hear about the newer sections and certain expectations follow.

I am using my sister-in-laws timeshare and only staying a week, so as long as the rooms are clean, I dont mind. The second week we are staying at the orange lake country club.
