Another Question re Newark Airport flying out of Halifax

If we are flying thru Newark flying out of Halifax, when we land in Newark, do we have to claim our checked baggage before switching planes or will the airline reposition the baggage automatically without our ever touching the checked bags? Sorry if silly question but haven't flown with so much luggage ever!! Normally just me and one bag for work!!

I can only speculate that you will clear customs in Halifax - so you wouldn't need to touch your bags.

From Moncton, as we do not have any customs, we had to claim baggage in Newark.

Sorry I'm not more helpful - have a great vacation !

have fun! keep in mind you will probably have to change terminals once in newark, but it is fairly easy.

We are changing planes in Newark from Seattle. First time going thru Newark on Continental. Interested in hearing any tips on Newark.

We usually go thru Houston, but in Aug, with Gulf storms, thought Newark would be better Last time we had connections thru Houston, we weren't sure we'd take off in Seattle, due to storm delays.
