I know that I'm a basically compulsive and controlling person by nature. That being said, I was wondering if anyone on the board can tell me the travel time from the Orlando airport to the port via the DCL transfer bus.

My plane is supposed to land 12:30 the day of the flight. Allowing an hour for the baggage collection by the CMs and the collection of passengers, what time should I arrive?

Also, because of my nature, I've been checking the flight stats on the flight that I'm taking and this week it's been on time once. The latest arrival time was 3:00 p.m.

Will DCL hold the ship if a bunch of us are delayed because of the airline? I'm guessing that there'll be several people on the same flight since it's a bulk fare.

Any thoughts anyone? Next time I'm flying down a day in advance.

It's about a 50 minute ride. Of course there could be traffic.

Disney will wait for you if you take their transportation. That is the main reason why we take the bus (we cannot fly down the day before). Disney will be expecting you and will get you to the ship. Don't worry!

Disney is more likely to wait for a busload of passengers BUT, since 9/11, all boat traffic is halted in the channel while the cruise ships depart (that's why all ships from the different lines leave in a short time window) and they are all escorted to the sea by the Coast Guard so they do need to keep to their schedules pretty closely.

your posts have stopped a minor panic attack. I was just reading my disney paperwork and it said to allow 6 hours between airport and ship and there's not even 4 in my booking.
