Hi all, Sorry to bring this up again. I've been trying to find a bag to carry to WDW. Based on research on this forum and others, I've narrowed it down to the Overland Donner, Ameribag or Baggallini. It will be my husband, 2.5 year old DS and myself going to Disney. I need something that will comfortably carry all the diaper bag supplies I need for my son, as well as ponchos, maps, water bottles, change of clothes for the baby, snacks, camera etc. I think the Baggallini may be too small, but I'd love to hear opinions from those who've used these bags. My biggest requirements are that it be easy on the back/shoulders, roomy, but not bulky and durable. Also, if it helps, I am short (5 ft. 2 in) and my husband is 5 ft. 6 in. Thanks for your help!:)

I have an Overland Donner bag which I really like but I don't think you'll be able to fit everything you mentioned in the bag. If you live near an EMS store, they have them there along with some other of the Overland bags. At sierratradingpost.com they have some good prices on Overland bags right now. I'm not familiar with the Bagallini or Ameribag.

are you taking a stroller? If so use a diaper bag for all baby's stuff and that will help minimize what you have to carry. We are taking a stroller for DS (2) and a diaper bag, change of clothes, etc.. that we will leave on the stroller, my Vera Bradley backpack will hold the necessities and DH will tote the camera. I'm thinking that the ponchos will stay in the diaper bag too.
I am 5'2" also and the backpack is perfect for me.

I just ordered and received my baggallini. It was a little larger than I thought, but not sure it will hold all the things you are hoping to include.

I just conquered taking my DS14months to MK and we are going back for 6 days next week. I took my Jansport bookbag and put diapers, clothes, snacks, and all the little necessities in it. We took a small cooler to keep his bottles of milk in and d. coke. Lastly I put my wallet, camera, cell phone type stuff in a nike bag that looks like thishttp://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://image.bizrate.com/resize%3Fsq%3D160%26uid%3D583961422%26mid%3D18522&imgrefurl=http://www.bizrate.com/sportsbags/products__keyword--nike%2Bgym%2Bsacks.html&h=160&w=160&sz=5&hl=en&start=72&tbnid=_irwCGRLZK0PxM:&tbnh=98&tbnw=98&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dnike%2Bbag%26start%3D54%26gbv%3D2%26ndsp%3D18%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN
I would take it and the camcorder into the rides with me and leave the rest in the stroller. I hope this helps.

We always carry a backpack (any old kind) for things like diapers (back when we needed them), wipes, ponchos, etc., and left this bag with the stroller when we went on the attractions. The thinking is that nothing valuable or irreplaceable was left in this bag. All the other stuff (cameras, wallets, tickets, etc.) I kept on me in a smaller bag. My friend has the Donner and likes it. I used an Ameribag messenger bag which is designed to sit across your body, which I liked because it stays in place.

If you want to consolidate your bags, however, the Baggallini is a nice bag. Not too big or too small. I find I use that for day trips with my family.

I bought the Donner bag (from ebags.com) and tested it out last week at a Chicago Cubs game with my two DDs (5 and 2). It was great for me. I liked the front pocket/section that you can just open to get id/ credit card etc. I put in a water bottle and gatorade bottle (in side pockets) 4-5 diapers and package of travel wipes in ziploc, then in big pocket section. I had plenty of room left for fruit snacks, animal cracker bags etc. and my digital camera and camcorder (it's a cool new littler one). I wore it over my shoulder/ chest like a messenger bag - very comfy even though it had a lot of stuff in it and could have been pretty heavy - it didn't feel that way.

Also I got it in lime green - as close as I could get to the DIS green!! :cool1:

I didn't realize there were brand names of bags to carry at WDW. Guess I'm just a simple girl!

We just use a regular old backpack, throw diapers, bibs, etc into it, and leave it in the stroller. My DH carries it when we're not on attactions/eating since we have a Combi double and the underseat storage is stupid.

Good luck with whatever you decide, but you don't need anything fancy!

I searched high and low for the perfect bag last year and finally bought the REI Mini Sling Bag. I do travel light, but my list of what I carry in the parks is identical to yours, I just don't add much extra stuff. My bag has taken two disney trips, first trip DD was still in diapers and my bag was full, second trip no diapers woohoo but I still took a full change of clothes for her, snacks and a tippy cup, baby wipes, antibacterial wipes, in addition to all my other stuff of course. I pack clothes and diapers in quart size ziplocs, for extra clothes I take the smallest lightweight outfit I can find, and for diapers I only take 3 into the park each day and squash those into a qt sz bag with a disposable changing pad. The bags really help keep things small and organized.

I wanted a water bottle pocket on the side and also a cell phone pocket on the strap, and I like that the REI bag has both. I also really like that you can adjust the sling to either side, so it can be worn on either side of your body. Most sling bags don't adjust. If you haven't used a sling bag before, you want to "break it in" like you would a new pair of shoes. They take a little bit of getting used to, but I LOVE my Mini Sling bag!

Here is a link to the Mini Sling:

I don't leave anything in my stroller. I keep my bag attached to my body at all times and actually that is why I like a sling style bag, I can just swing it around front to ride attractions and never have to take it off and worry about leaving it behind.

Thanks for the input. I've narrowed it down to the Overland Donner and the REI Sling (never heard of that one before, but I like the looks of it). I don't want to bring the diaper bag. I have a skip hop that attaches to our stroller that we brought to WDW last year. I got tired of removing it and reattaching the strap every time we rode something. I don't want to leave anything on the stroller when we ride as I had something stolen (not a valuable item either) from the diaper bag at another park. Anyway, I think either one of these bags will fit our needs. Thanks again for your help.
