another question on borrowing points

I am traveling in april 2014. use year october. can I borrow points from 2015? it was not given to me as an option I was just told I didnt have enough points.

No, you cannot borrow Oct 2015 UY points for a trip in April 2014.

An April 2014 trips falls in your Oct 2013 UY (10/1/2013 - 9/30/2014). You can use any of the following for that stay: Oct 2012 points that you have banked into your Oct 2013 UY, current Oct 2013 UY points, and points borrowed from your Oct 2014 UY into your Oct 2013 UY.

If it's only a few points you need you could buy up to 24 one time use points from DVC to complete the reservation. If it's more than that they either looking for a transfer from a member, adding nights thru renting or paying cash for a few nights are the options.
