Hi everyone,

I'm just curious, if you do the Paint the Night/Blue Bayou package and there are 2 parades that night, do they let you choose the 2nd parade, or do you have to see the earlier one? I would much rather see the 2nd parade, so I'm hoping they let you pick...

Thanks!

Most likely it works the same as the Fantasmic Blue Bayou package used to work. There is a cut off time point. Example we had a reservation for 6pm at Blue Bayou and we were given tickets for the first Fantasmic show. Dining reservations from 6.30pm onwards were given tickets for the second Fantasmic show

Hmm, thanks. I wonder if I should make a later reservation or take my chances with the first parade. I haven't been reading very good things about the package lately, so I don't know. I hate how stressful it's becoming to plan how and when to watch a parade lol!

We had a 4:30 reservation and when we checked in she asked if we'd like the first or second parade.

Though....I think the schedule only had one? That could have turned out badly.

They will let you defer to the second parade if you'd like, just ask your server before paying your bill. Most people want the first parade because they stay for the fireworks right after. So the second parade viewing will be less impacted.

Thanks! Well it's good to know I will have the option, I think I reserved our package for 4:40 on a Sunday, and there are 2 parades that night. I'd rather watch the 2nd parade, but I also want to see the fireworks, so I don't know how much of a pain it will be to watch the fireworks and then make our way over to the package area.

I'm guessing the fireworks are at 9:10 that night? And first parade is at 8:30? If you want to watch fireworks at Main Street I would start lingering in the MS shops around 8:40, and around 8:50 the parade will be ending. At that point be ready to make your way onto the street to find a place to watch the fireworks. I like being in the vacinity of Jolly Holiday Cafe. Another option is to watch the fireworks from It's A Small World. The images are shown on the facade, the sound is played, it's a good view of the fireworks and I've heard it's relatively easy to find a viewing spot last minute (people gather in the street in addition to along the curbs). You most likely won't be able to see the fly overs though.
