Another- Probably STUPID- question!

IF I have a memory card (SD) that is 1 gig.... about how many regular pics will that hold???

File size varies from camera to camera. Image size/compression/format/noise/subject/etc... all help determine the file size.

On a 4 year old camera(with no other details) my guess would be 400-800 images.

On my camera shooting uncompressed RAW format i would get about 100, my daughters 3.3mp camera would get about 550.

This depends on the camera (number of mega pixels) and the amount of compression you choose (the quality you choose to save at)

Number of pictures may vary a bit on brand and format you are shooting, but this will get you darn close
