1 week to go () and I thought i'd do a pre trip report. I hope to do my first ever trip report when we get back as I've found everyone's reports so helpful planning this trip.

Going are myself and DDprincess: nearly 3 1/2. This is my first holiday alone with my daughter (no I haven't left DH - he hated it last year and I don't want to waste the money on him coming and being grumpy and spoiling the magic!)

Drive down Sat 30th to stay with brother in Essex. 4 hours plus in the car but Grandma is going us for this leg of the journey and will keep DD amused.

Sun 31st May - after alot of ummhing and arrghing i've booked us in to the travelodge at Ashford to save a very early start and stress Mon am.

Mon 1st june off to Disney! () 10.37 Eurostar from Ashford. Booked directly with Eurostar. DD free as under 4. Paid £15 to add disney express to booking. First time on eurostar/using disney express...

Staying Newport bay for the first time. Have requested a room nearer the entance - we shall see. Booked with Disney directly, took advantage of 40% off offer - Newport worked out cheaper than Cheyenne.

1st june is a french bank hol (didn't realise when i booked) so i'm expecting crowds. Only set plans are i'd like to go on peter pan (shut for rest of trip) and see the parade. Park open until 9 so if DD is upto it we may have a rest at the hotel late afternoon then try and stay up late....

No dining reservations may eat in park or rainforest cafe....

Tues 2nd June

Brekkie in hotel and EMH...(normally getting to work for 9am is a challenge - but last year I was up and powering towards Dumbo at 8am so i'm hoping i'll be able to do it this time.)

12 noon reservation Auberge de cendrillon (I don't know who is more excited me or Anna!) Have got half board premium vouchers.

Wed 3rd June

Brekkie hotel and EMH..

12.00 noon reservation cafe mickey

Home on 7.37 eurostar - staying overnight in Essex with brother before the long drive North on thurs..

Anna is currently princess mad so I'm planning on spending time seeing the princesses & sleeping beauty show which we didn't do at all last time. Ridewise fantasyland all the way. Her favourite ride last year was it's a small world we shall see this time... Oh and we also want to see the playhouse disney show.

Heightwise DD is very big for her age - 107cm and would make the height restrictions for alot of things but i'm not a fan of scary rides and she's not very daring so no TOT, Crush, BTM etc for us!

I've been collecting special outfits for Anna to wear ( i'm an ebay addict..:surfweb:) only problem is too many clothes and no husband to carry the suitcase. Trying to hold out for a weather report before packing.

Thanks for reading if you got this far...any suggestions or last minute tips welcome.
:)

Sounds like you're going to have a great time.

By the way fantastic choice of name for your daughter (my DD2 is Anna and she's 4 but would rather be Buzz or Sully):rotfl2:

sounds a good plan!! my - ur dd is just taller than my ds2 - whens her bday???

not sure on how busy it will be, as may they have had a lot of holidays (france) guess depends on weather....

lol @ all the clothes - i think that its sposed to be nice weather for begin of june - was very hot when we went 8th june last year....

She was 3 at end of Jan. She has always been tall but has had a real spurt recently. Paediatrian measured her on thurs and put it in her red book and she was off the chart (over 100th centile!) Hoping she will stay the same for a bit....it bugs me that people think she is alot older than she is.

We went father's day last June. One day rain. one day really hot and one day ok so we will see...

wow, your dd is really tall ... could she share some with my dd :goodvibes Your plans sound great and I can't wait to hear how you get on, my dh doesn't know yet but dd and I are going in November without him, we're on a budget ;) she'll be 3 years and 5 months so a similar age to Anna. At the minute dd either wants to be a princess or a pirate, lots of fun :goodvibes

have a great trip and I'm looking forward to seeing your pics and reading all about it :)

Exactly, as DH isn't coming it has been the perfect excuse to indulge and add the premium vouchers....

He hasn't asked, so the finer details (like the cost of the premium!) haven't been disclosed!

I'd love to go and see the xmas decorations - will they be up when you go in November Tillybud?

I like it :goodvibes what he doesn't know and all that :)

We arrive on 8th November and according to the man on the phone the Xmas celebrations start on 7th November, although that isn't definite yet but I'm hoping so but at least we got the 40% off deal which is such good value !!

We've gone the beginning of June for the last two years so I'm going to be sad this year when we don't go but I'm sure your tr will give me a fix :)

I can't wait to see Anna with your bargains from ebay, dd is wearing a snow white hair grip I got her from a similar website and she loves it, I've had to order some others !!!

Can't wait to hear all about your trip !!! x

similar age as ds2 was 3 end of dec! know what u mean re the tall bit, ppl do judge on height - but then, at dlrp it works in our favour ;) ds2 was able to get on btm at the age of 2 1/2 and its his fav ride!!

cant wait for ur pics, and ull find it easy - i managed with 2 kids, so 1 shud be fine!!! ull have a fab time (and even better addin extra that dh doesnt know of!!!)

Wow sounds like a fab trip :goodvibes Your DD is tall, mine are both tall and my DD1 is just turned 4 and 106 cm and I thought that was tall ;)

I'm sure you'll love Auberge - my DD1 still talks about it now and we've almost worn our DVD out watching our footage :goodvibes

Can't wait to hear all about it :wizard:

I know what its like to have a tall DD, Kyra was 104cms in January and she was 3years and 3 months old. People always assume she is like 5 years old lmao.

Sounds like your going have a great time and i hope you get lots of sunshine.

Well we are off on our trip tomorrow and at Disney from Monday. Finished packing and weather looking like it is going to be hot and sunny:banana:

I'm so excited...DD keeps telling people she is off to see Mickey

have a safe journey and hope you have a magical holiday :goodvibes give Minnie a kiss from us :cutie:
