Another price drop at Alamo on Intermediate SUV's for April!

I have an Equinox (or equivalent) reserved at Alamo from April 26- May 9.
Last week's base price was $128.91/week. It is now down to $101.61 / week not including the $15. on line coupon.

Now if I can only find a way to bypass the counter !

It will be interesting to hear if people are happy with the lines and service at Alamo when renting these SUV's. I normally use the Emerald Club at National, but can't pass up these prices at Alamo.

Those with reservations at Alamo for around the same time may want to check their dates today.

I just put in my dates on the Alamo site 3-29-4/4 and I got a rate of 175.00 with the 15.00 internet coupon. How did you receive this cheap rate. I think I am doing something wrong. Help Please!

Mine is $170 for 8 days. With the Entertainment $25 coupon and the Walmart code.

As stated my dates are April 26-May 9. I did not use any codes other than the $15 off the weekly rate (directly from the Alamo site).

Pricing from internet car rental sites are very unpredictable.

Good luck and keep trying.

Thanks for posting. My daugther's price for April 29-May 5 dropped $30. Her base weekly rate is $90. Using the $15 coupon, her total after taxes is $106. My rate for April 23-May 5 did not change. My base amount weekly is $94, with a total of $237 for 2 weeks. Both ressies are for a mid-size SUV. These are great prices.

Does Alamo have a large supply of SUV's and is that why their SUV's have been historically lower than a compact? I got my midsize SUV for $148 for 9 days in September (still waiting on coupons to come out for that far ahead) but a compact for that time was like $230! It just doesn't make sense.

For 5 days, April 27-May 1st, I got $101, TOTAL, with Alamo using BJs ID# and their $15 coupon. I am going to keep trying, for even lower with Costco. This too, is for the mid size SUV.

It says you can check in online, and bypass the lines, BUT not if you are using a coupon. National cashiers can handle coupons from Emerald members, why can't Alamo cashiers do coupons? Oh, well.

Edited: The Entertainment book coupon was $20, so now I stand at $94 or something.

I have ressies for 4/17 to 4/23 with a midsize SUV w/taxes 103.81 but might change to a convertible for 143.17 .. I used the walmart codes and the $15 off coupon to get these rates.. Michelle
