I know I’ve posted this stuff before but I’m really excited about the trip so I want to share again. So now you’ll get our pre-honeymoon report.

About 6 months ago when this trip was in the works, DH2B suggested that we make it into our honeymoon. Not only did I have to throw together a wedding in less than 6 months, I had to plan our honeymoon. Okay so the honeymoon part looks awfully familiar to one of our regular Disney vacations, but heck, a lot of planning goes into that too. We knew we wanted to stay at WL. After falling in love with it after a transfer from POR 2 years ago due to some problems with the resort, we knew we could never stay anywhere else again (okay I still want to stay in CR tower just once). We also knew we wanted Disney’s dining and recreation plan, this year called the Premium package. I’ve been a big fan of this package for years (actually can only remember 2 times since early childhood when my family didn’t use this – camping trip in the popup and senior trip) and now I’m spoiled, luckily the two times DH2B has gone with me he has learned to appreciate this luxury and also would never dream of going without it.

So a woods view room with a king bed at WL has been booked (almost hoping to NOT get a courtyard upgrade if it means being near the pool – some of the romance is lost for us when looking out on kids playing in the pool :rotfl: ). The package is in place and paid for. Airfare is booked (if it gets cheaper than what we paid will USAir issue us a credit?) and we’re keeping our fingers crossed for a first class upgrade for at least 1 leg of the trip since we’ve gotten one on the last 2 vacations. DH2B even suggested that we wear our wedding ears to the airport just in case :). I never imagined that he’d actually WANT to wear those things.

Okay, on to the game plan. We’ve got an early flight out on Sunday October 2 and will arrive in Orlando around 10:30. Jimmy from Golden Limo will be there to pick us up in style and whisk us away to WL and then the fun can begin.

10/2 Magic Kingdom as tradition dictates
Lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern
Leaving hopefully with enough time to take out watersprites before the marina closes
Dinner at Hoop Dee Doo at 7:15
Back to WL to watch the fireworks from MNSSHP and take a dip

10/3 Epcot and we’re wearing the “happiest honeymoon on earth” shirts I made
Up bright and early for breakfast at Chef Mickeys then off to Epoct on the monorail
Lunch at Le Cellier - we originally wanted this for dinner but eating after 8 will mean no Illuminations. This was almost a problem too since all the tables for 2 were booked here but we took a table for 4 (please don’t flame me) and will let them know only 2 of us are dining
Dinner at Rose and Crown - very easy to make an ADR for 2 and we’ll be done in plenty of time to stake out a spot for Illuminations (we didn’t want to risk booking late and not getting a patio table with a view)

10/4 A day to relax – sort of
Another early breakfast at WCC (we don’t mind getting up early, especially not at Disneyworld)
Off to Blizzard Beach hopefully a little before it opens. There are only 2 things we want to do here – the big drop slide and the big raft ride then maybe an hour in the lazy river.
For lunch we’re heading to MK to eat with my favorite character, Pooh, at Crystal Palace
A quick monorail trip to CR will have us ready for an afternoon of parasailing, jet skis and watersprites.
Back to WL to get ready for a nice dinner at CG and hopefully a window table for Wishes

10/5 Studios
I think it’s breakfast at WCC again so we can have a quick start to our day (we’ll pay for this meal out of pocket since we’ll be one meal over on the plan otherwise)
Lunch is PTC – I love watching those old tv clips
We’ve got to head over to YC for dinner at YSH and then hurry back for Fantasmic. I’m really hoping that since it’s not a busy time of the year we won’t have a problem getting in only a half hour before start time. Oh well I don’t care if we have to stand.

10/6 MNSSHP
Yay another meal with Pooh at Crystal Palace. Maybe we’ll finish up quickly and get to be the first on the Pooh ride again (that was awesome!)
Lunch at DH2B’s favorite, Liberty Tree Tavern
Leaving the park for dinner again at CG and hurrying back for MNSSHP – no costumes for us but I’m making t-shirts for the occasion.

10/7 another kind of relaxing day
Breakfast at Chef Mickey’s (he loves this buffet)
The morning will be at AK – we’re really going just to see the animals and hopefully they’ll be active in the morning, especially the kitties. We usually do the behind the scenes tour here but since it doesn’t change and we’ve done it the past 2 years in a row we’re skipping it in favor of more waterpark time.
Lunch at RFK where we’ll hopefully be able to get the volcano dessert for two
Afternoon at TL, again really for the big slide, the new slides and the lazy river.
Back to WL to clean up again and off to YSH for a second visit (probably take the MK bus, then hop on the YC bus)

10/8 last full day :(
We’ve never been to Ohana so we thought we might as well try it out
Another visit to MK since it’s my favorite park
Lunch at Tony’s – I’ve only had breakfast here back in the day but today is a day to try new things.
Dinner at Hoop Dee Doo again – we love the show and DH2B loves the chicken and ribs, plus we always get mac and cheese and fries brought over from the buffet next door.

10/9 Do we really have to go back home?
Another early breakfast at Crystal Palace and more hopes of being the first to the Pooh ride
Farewell lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern
Luckily we’ve got a 7pm flight so we’ve got until 4 to stay at the MK and play.

I just can’t wait – can I go tomorrow instead?
Let me know what you think.

Both of you guys have fun! I spent my honeymoon at the WL and it was wonderful! How could it not be..it's Disney World and the Wilderness Lodge!
