Just wondering if there are plans to add another pool for the treehouse villas? We were hoping to stay there, but on our "relaxing" days, we tend to stay by the pool.... and I don't think the pool now is very accommodating, at least for us.

Anyone heard anything?

They are re-doing a pool at SSR to address the THV pool issue.

:earsboy: Bill

From what I've read and recall they are replacing the "quiet " pool in the paddocks section with a large zero entry theme pool with water slide.

Yes I've heard that - I've seen the artist drawing and it looks cool - but how does that solve the THV pool issue?

What issue? THV is a section within SSR. Anyone who doesn't like the THV pool has several others to choose from in the resort.

Just walk over to the two (soon to be three) awesome pools at SSR...We did use the treehouse pool one day as the boys enjoyed being the only ones at the huge pool and hot tub (in their words)

Ditto! It was more than enjoyable for us in December. It was nicely heated and the hot tub was hot! The Grandstand pool is not far away and there is alot of activity at the main pool that kept us in that area often.

As far as pools go, once the Paddocks complex is finished, SSR/THV will be hard to beat. It has an awesome variety and plenty of hot tubs and play areas. You could almost visit a new pool everyday and not leave the resort:rotfl:

It is unlikely that the treehouse villas will see any new pool construction. My understanding is that they are in a protected watershed area, and in order to redo the treehouses they had to use he same or smaller ground footprint for the units.

That is my understanding as well.

Not sure what OP's issues are with the current pool. Based upon our experiences, the size is adequate. We stayed in the Treehouses at the start of the summer season and there were never more than 2 other groups present during multiple visits to the pool. There are plenty of lounge chairs & tables, a hot tub, restrooms, soft drink machine. The only thing really lacking in relation to other pools is a slide. Even if Disney had the ability to make significant modifications to the pool, I can't see the justification for only 60 treehouses. It's still considered part of Saratoga Springs. The Grandstand pool is only about 5 min away on foot and the main pool another 3-4 min.

Does anyone know when that pool is going to be started/completed at SSR?
