Another placeholder question...

I don't know why I struggle to wrap my mind around how the placeholders work. I've tried to figure this out but need help!

-I'm going on a cruise next month with my husband.
-We are also booked with our kids next June for an Eastern Caribbean 7 night on the Fantasy. (so already booked)
-I want to take my mom, sister, and sister-in-law on a 3 night to the Bahamas this next April. We will want 2 rooms. (so not booked yet).

When I go next month, can I get a placeholder for the April girls' trip which needs 2 cabins? And my husband get a placeholder for our Eastern Caribbean in June? I understand we will need to cancel and re-book that trip to use a placeholder. Does it need to be booked with his name as the primary?

Am I thinking about this correctly? Can I use a placeholder for both cabins in April? Thanks!!

You can get up to 2 placeholders that have to be used on the same cruise. So you could get placeholders for 2 rooms on the girls trip or a placeholder for the June trip. You would need to cancel and rebook June, so do the math and see which option would be a better deal.

Each household present may make 2 placeholders -- each good for 1 cabin on the same future cruise (so max 2 cabins on 1 cruise).

Assuming you and DH live at the same address, you may only make the 2. As PP suggests, use for the April girls' trip OR the June family trip.

When you go in April, presumably there are multiple households/address and EACH can make the 2 placeholders. I'd assume by then it may be too late for any placeholder savings on the June family cruise, but it will help for future cruises especially if the girls want a repeat.

Technically, no. The rules are max of 2 staterooms to use on 1 future cruise date. Whether that is enforced...

Yeah, so basically the placeholder is good for one future sailing up to 2 rooms on the same sailing (does not have to be the same household) but you can only buy one placeholder per household on your current cruise.
