Another PIN I can't use....

Just got my first PIN code by mail, and it is not for any dates that I can go! We are looking to go a specific week in June (if we go at all), and the cut-off date is just a few days before our possible visit. So frustrating!

I guess it would be too easy for a great deal to just fall into my lap, right? :)
 
Sorry it isn't for the dates that you need! That stinks. I've never gotten a pin code at all so you're one up on me :laughing:
 
I just got another pin email today and once again it's for another family :( I keep getting pin emails for this family, it really stinks!!

I think Disney sends them to me because they know we are going there (we even did the Give A Day program last year) but we don't stay on-site.

I gladly would, but not for full price! I have gotten some great PINS in the past two years, but have not been able to use any of them. I had one in the fall for 40% of ANY room. Wish we could have gone.

This one is 30% off value & moderate and 40% off deluxe. I would really be considering it if it was one week later!
 
I keep getting a PIN code for DL (in my DD's name) and we wanted to go to WDW in May as a family....I think we're gonna pass this year.
 
I got this pin yesterday too and I think I can make it work. The best part was, I told my family that Disney sent me a birthday present! They all cracked up! :rotfl2:
 
This is what I did last year and what I am doing again this year. We are wating for free dining to come out for October. I booked my ressie now and will be able to change it to the free dining when it becomes available. Also I call and see if they have a pin code attached to our name or phone number. Sometimes you can find deals that way too. They will start releasing deals for fall starting in March.

that's a great deal! I'm surprised that I have never gotten one. I have gone so many times and then starting in 2003 I have gone every year, sometimes 2 times in one year. DH and I even got married and had our honeymoon down there! weird. Oh well. :confused3 we won't be going back for a few years now (waiting til DD is older) but I would love to get a PIN for when we go back! just wondering how some people get them and some don't...
 
DH got one and it's also for dates we can't go. One period ends 6/4 and then the next period starts 8/21, so basically the whole summer is blacked out. However, I am going to see if we could possibly swing a no-kids quick trip maybe in October. But when I go to do it online, it keeps telling me the zip code is incorrect and I've used the last 3 zip codes he has had. So now I have to CALL to do it. I prefer doing it online so I can look at various options.

For some reason, DH gets PINs quite often, but I never do. :confused3
 
We used to get WDW pin code offers all the time via email. In the past 18 months I've received nothing but DL pin code offers. Very frustrating as we're annual pass holders at DL already and have a convenient (and free) place to stay close by in Newport Beach. On a positive note DL has been giving 30% dining coupons on receipts when you purchase items at World of Disney, and 30% merchandise coupons on the receipt when purchase food or beverages in the park.
 
My husband and I each got one this week too. I think it was triggered when I went to the website to price out a sample trip and "saved" it to my profile.

The deal we're being offered is similar to one that's open to the general public, although there are more dates available. Not sure if it's better to book the 40% room-only or rent points from a DVC member. We're a family of 7 (6 + a baby), so Disney really limits our room options, and not all of those options are available with this PIN offer.

I spent several hours trying to put together the best trip, but the Disney site is not smart enough to offer two rooms at a Value or Moderate. It keeps triggering an error code that says my party size is too big, and tries to offer me deluxe or a cabin. I wish it would let me price out two rooms on one reservation rather than having to make two separate reservations.

Can you price the trip online using the pin code?:confused3 I thought you had to call for that.

Both were for 35% off value and moderate/40% deluxe. . .and they are for dates we probably won't be able to go! :guilty:
We're trying to figure out a way to use one of them. (I've entered a couple of contests to try to win a free Disney trip. . .would be awfully nice if one of those came through, huh?)

The PIN I got had a "book now" link in the email, it confirmed your address, pin number and last name and then let you book online.
