I keep seeing these posts today and it's peaked my curiosity. I'm sure I'll have more questions, but for now I have just a few.

1) Does anyone have any pics to share so I can see what to expect?

2) We'll only be there for 3 days, do you think it would be worth it?

3) I've honestly never noticed any type of "planned" photo ops, does anyone have a list of the spots included in the photo connect plan?

4) I saw someone mention a closet photo op at ET, where is this? It sounds so cute and I've never noticed it before.

That's it for now. Thanks to anyone who can help!

I'd like to know the answers to these questions, too! I'd especially love to see examples of photos!!

Same here - I'm deciding whether to purchase the package or not. Is there an annual pass discount on this if I wait and get it at the park, or should I just order online prior to activating my pass?

I'd also like to hear someone with an AP who has purchased the package online and then successfully had it changed into the full-year thing at the parks. I'd hate to purchase this online and then have it only work for five days. :(

hey homie......:wave2:

about 3 days ago someone posted their family photo from the photo connect.
they were on the dudley ride.
don't remember which thread it was but if you do a search, it will pop up.

that thread with the photo had about 4 posts in it.

if i find it again today, i'll come back and post the link for you.

the ET photo set up is in the store next to ET.
(the one you are emptied out into)

start with post 18 on page 2 in this thread:
(the first page is one year old until post 14, 2nd page from this summer)

We did this 2 months ago, and thought it was a great deal. You have to go to one of the photo centers to get your star card - there's one at the front of each park. You just need the confirmation email that they send you when you preorder the package - no physical voucher like Disney. So it's no more trouble, and a $10 savings, than if you bought the package in the park.

It includes all ride photos, all character photos, and all roving photographer photos. Rides I remember are

Hulk
Forbidden Journey
Jurassic Park
Ripsaw Falls
SpiderMan (the one that they take while you're in line)

Revenge of the Mummy
Men In Black
Rip Ride Rockit (not integrated with the system, but the TM will give you a receipt you use online to get your pictures)

Characters:
ET
SpongeBob
SpiderMan
Shrek
Transformers
Superhero parade characters

Rovers we found:
Entrance to each park
Bridge by Hogwarts - nice picture of your group with Hogwarts in the background
Jurassic Park cars & dinosaurs

We also got the $25 upgrade (in park) to get a free print of every picture. We got the ride prints immediately after each ride, and the rest of the prints at photo centers during the day.

There's also a smartphone app that lets you look at the pictures while you're still in the park. That was a lot of fun, and made it easier to show the agents what pictures we wanted printed.

TY TY TY!!!! I have been having connectivity issues all day and when I tried the search (I had seen you mention in another thread about there being several posts) my poor little comp just sat spinning in circles. *sigh*

So again... TY TY TY!!! Can't wait to meet up in Oct! :hyper:

I haven't done this yet, but I have read elsewhere that all you have to do is show your annual pass when you go to the photo store to activate the prepurchased Star Card and it will then be good for a year.

If you look at my trip report here, a lot of the pictures are from photoconnect. All the ride pics, the Spider-Man pic, the dinosaur & car pic, the family pic in front of IOA, the Hogwarts pic and the Spongebob pic.

There are 2 ET photo setups, right next to the ET ride. One of them is on a bicycle, with ET in your basket. The other is in a closet with ET dressed up as a doll - this one works nicely as a family pic.

That may have been my photo:

Hears No Evil. Speaks No Evil. Sees No Evil. Refuses to Participate

We were at US/IoA for 3 days- we had about 42 pictures on our Photo Connect Account- mostly ride photos, but a few at the entrances. We didn't visit any characters.

I just ordered the CD yesterday.

I posted a couple of ride pictures to facebook- I'll try posting them here in a bit.

ETA:

Dee, your family pictures are great!!
thanks for sharing them.

yes, it was your thread where i saw the pic that i was referring to in this thread.

glad you jumped in here to solve that puzzle.

I couldn't believe my husband was actually willing to participate in some of the "fun" ride pictures. We did bunny ears on the boys. We wanted to do a Charlie's Angel pose in MIB, but neither of the boys wanted to be involved with that!

FYI: the package has gone up $10 since a couple of months ago. It is now $49.99 online and $59.99 at the park.

I have had my AP photo connect since December and love it. We have over 200 photos from all the trips we make. We are the ones riding over and over making funny faces. This past trip I got a park map and DS and I pretended to read it while dropping on JP. The funny thing is the picture is great but the park map blew into many pieces when we hit the bottom and water.:lmao:

That's awesome!

If I pre-order the package, do they mail me something, or do I print a voucher to bring to the park? Just trying to decide if I need to order it now, or if I can wait.

They email you a voucher & barcode, you bring it to one of the photo centers at the entrance to each park. Probably don't even need to print it - just let them scan the barcode email from your phone. Fully 21st century, unlike Disney:cool1:

Awesome!!

I pre-ordered mine yesterday. We'll be at the parks in a few weeks. Yay!

Somewhere on this thread, I think, someone said that the downloads are not great quality, but if you order the CDs, you get better-quality images. I know with this package we get one free CD. For those of us with an AP, is there any kind of a discount if you order another CD later in the year, with the newer pictures on it?
