Another Pearson Question (flying to Europe)

DD will be teaching in Egypt at an International School and flying out (via Turkish Airlines) mid-August. Since I can count on 1 hand the number of times that I have flown out of YYZ, I have no clue to her questions.

She'll be meeting up with other teachers and would like to know what pre-security café/restaurant would be near the international check-in that would make a good meeting place? I know that there are lots of choices AFTER security, but she'd like the 'security' of going through with others in her same boat.

She's booked with Turkish Airlines. Has anyone ever flown with them? Any extra information would be wonderful. She has a 6 hour layover in Istanbul, before moving on to Cairo. Thanks for any information.

Can't help with Pearson but I know lots of people who have flown with Turkish Airlines and had no issues. They said the food service was better than some American airlines they had flown.
If she is staying in the Istanbul airport I don't recall there being much there (of course we didn't linger but went right out through passport control).
