Can somebody please explain the layout of the hotel? Is it like the Tropicana where the layout is in the shape of a "U"? Also, where exactly is the breakfast room located?

TIA!!!:goodvibes

Its a big two-story U. The pool and parking lot are in the middle of the U. The lobby is in the front of the hotel right along Harbor, and the breakfast area is upstairs just behind the lobby. Here are two pics....a map of the hotel, and a picture taken from just outside Room 243 or 244 looking toward the lobby. Please note: The big building seen in the background of the pic is not the Park Vue. Its the hotel just south of the PV (the Desert Inn & Suites maybe???).

Thank you for sharing those pics!
Do you know if the breakfast area is easy to access with a wheelchair?

I seem to recall discussions before about the PV not having an elevator, and the breakfast room is upstairs. We have never seen an elevator (and I remember my sister dragging her stroller up and down the stairs). I would call the front desk about that one....as I would hate to put that out there and be incorrect.

Thank you DTD! We are going in July and were wondering the same thing!! Thank you for the pic of the pool too, looks good! Question for you, did you find your room quiet enough. I have read a few threads that recommend a 2nd floor room towards the back of the hotel for a reduction in noise. What are your thoughts on this? We have reserved the bunkbed/queen room. Not sure where these are in the hotel but thought I would email them and ask to reserve. Thanks for any info you have!

We always request a room upstairs near the back (we have always had 2 queens). We leave the bathroom light/fan on all night, as well as the AC unit fan. That is enough noise that we sleep fine. In the past they have told me that they cannot guarantee room location, but so far it has always worked out for us.

My parents did the queen/bunkbed room last year, but I forget where there room was. My kids think it was downstairs.

Regarding the queen/bunkbed room.....my parents have decided they would prefer 2 queens over the queen/bunk bed room next time. The bunkbed room felt smaller to them, plus the bunk bed was right outside the bathroom (as opposed to the 2 queens, which are a bit farther away from the bathroom). Plus the sink and toilet were closed off in one room, so no one could use the sink while someone else was using the toilet or shower. With the 2 queens the sink is outside the toilet/shower part of the bathroom. You can look at floor plans on the PV's website to see this. No big deal for some families, but it didn't work for their group as well as another room would have. Just wanted to give you the heads up....

Have a great trip!!!

We have a 2 queens + bunk room booked for later this year. I tried emailing to see what the floor plan was like since the others are online, but got no response.

Anyone see these yet?
