I am so glad to have found this forum. Its REALLY helped me plan my trip. I've run into a little snag in my plans and am looking for some help...

Is it possible for two people to share a 3 day park hopper pass?

I am going to WDW in November with my husband, daughter (1 year) and my two brothers (12, 17) for a business/pleasure trip. My sister in law has just decided to join us for part of the trip. I have already purchased (3) 3 day park hoppers for myself and my brothers but now I need to decide about what tickets to buy for my sister in law and my husband. She will be with us one day when we planned on going to AK/Epcot (without my husband) and my husband will go with us to MGM (without my sister in law). Another day in between, can you split it (one person in the morning, one in the afternoon?)Does that make sense? How particular are they about this issue?

Thanks in advance for your help!

You will not be able to use the same ticket (of any kind) for more than one person per day. In order to hop between parks on the same day, you need to get your hand stamped when leaving the first park. You need your ticket and the hand stamp to enter subsequent parks.

The ticketing system will know that your husband's ticket was used in the morning. If someone without the hand stamp tries to use the ticket later that day (even if it is to enter the same park as was visited in the AM), the computer will know. Admission for that second person (who doesn't have a stamp) will be denied and it is very possible that the ticket will be confiscated.

Technically, all WDW tickets are non-transferrable and non-refundable. Practically, Disney does not know who uses a ticket and it is possible for more than one person to "share" a hopper or hopper plus pass. However, only one person per day can use the same pass. You cannot have two people use one pass even if you request that two days of admission from that pass be used.

From your description, it sounds like you will need to buy either your husband or your SIL a one day/one park ticket for the "day in between". If you plan to go to more than one park that day, you will have to buy a 1 day/1 park ticket for each park you plan to visit on that day.

HTH.
