For those of you who saw my post a few weeks ago you will know that my father-in-law got diagnosed with terminal cancer last month. The countdown to this trip ground to a bit of holt. There were many discussions of whether to cancel; there have been many tears but we're still going and father-in-law is excited for us

So I started packing yesterday, documents are printed & electricals are on charge. I've just got a day of work to get through tomorrow and an ear infections to clear up  and then........

DISNEY HERE WE COME :cheer2::dance3::cheer2:

So if anyone is at Saratoga Springs we might see you around :goodvibes

Glad that you are going on your holiday and that you are looking forward to it so much.

Have a fantastic time :cool1:

We just returned this morning, take plenty of suncream with you as its very hot. Have a fantastic time.

Hope you have a fabulous time and are going with your FIL blessing, make as many memories as possible and then you have wonderful things to tell him about when you get back. Take lots of photos to show him too.

Im really glad you are able to go:love:

I hope you have a fantastic time:thumbsup2

I hope that you have a wonderful time! :goodvibes

Really pleased to hear you are able to go, I know it must have been a tough time - have a magical time, you really do deserve it

Glad to hear you are still going and bless your father-in-law. Be careful with your ear infection. Take some painkillers before and during your flight(paracetamol and neurofen if you are ok with anti infamms). Also put some olive oil on and cotton wool. .sorry if sounds obvious.I had one last time I went and the pressure caused my ear drum to perferate but I only started my antibiotics the night before I flew(dipstick!!!:lmao:) kept thinking I would be ok.Learnt my lesson.
Have a fab time.xx

Thanks everyone. Just painted toe-nails & dyed eyelashes so must be near to going!

Thanks for the tips. I brought some extra painkillers today ready but the antibiotics seems to have kicked in so fingers crossed it will be bearable by Saturday morning. At least I hope so 'cause i've got two flights to get though

Hey Clayre,
so glad to hear you are going, and DFIL is happy for you :)
Hope you have a truly amazing time, and bring back loads of memories and photos to share with him and DMIL

You've earned yourself a great one Princess Clayre. Now you go and have the wonderful time you deserve. If you're already taking your anibiotics then you should be feeling much better by Saturday. :goodvibes

maybe a bit of useless info but on a flight back from America a few years ago a passenger who had an ear infection was having ear problems when landing, until a steward got two plastic cups with a hot flannel in the bottom of each,(like the ones you get to freshen hands with)and placed them over both ears. she aaid it really relieved the pressure and. pain. She did look daft but it worked.Hopefully you'll be better by the weekendanyway.:thumbsup2

Thanks. I saw this somewhere else on the internet too so a good one to know about :thumbsup2

I'd also just like to say how nice everyone is on this forum. I only joined a few months ago and you've all been so friendly, helpful and supportive
