I am interested in purchasing dvc at the grand floridian. I understand they are adding 200 + units. My big question is;
1. Once it goes on sale, how long will it be available for? As in, it goes on sale May 15th, is it sold out in a week?
2. Where will they announce the sale?
3. Should I already be on a waiting list?

Thanks in advance!

It will likely take a couple of years to sell out so no worries about missing it.

These boards will light up like a Christmas tree when they go on sale. And you’ll see it happen almost immediately after they announce it.

No rush, no concern and no need for a waitlist. As mentioned it will be on sale for at least a couple of years.

Can I also ask a few questions. I am only a resale owner and LOVE VGF so thinking about buying enough points to get a blue card when this goes on sale.

1. Does Disney allow you - if you were buying 150 points with some type of incentive - to have the points deeded into say (2) 75 point contracts and still get the”benefits” that might be available when buying 150 points.
2. Does Disney allow you to use Disney gift cards for purchase…or part of purchase?

you need one contract for 150 points to get a blue card

you can use credit cards to pay, unsure about gift cards

It doesn't have to be 1 contract with 150 direct points. The verbiage is that members must accumulate a total of at least 150 points direct. For new members they have made it so that the minimum first contract is 150 but an existing member does not have to buy a 150 pt contract.

Just curious why break up the contract into two 75 point contracts? The difference in resale value for a 75 point contract compared to a 150 point contract is not much and you would be paying another $600ish in closing cost to have two contracts.

I would just sign up for emails and mail mail and phone calls on the DVC website and they ABSOLUTELY will not forget about you.

totally get it-I know I would need to weight the financial impact of extra closing costs. I already have a lot of points on resale contracts so just thinking down the road if I needed to divest (or maybe even in the future if I wanted to gift to one of my kids) a contract how I would split things up. Kind of kicking myself on the 200 / 250 pointers I bought before…sort of wish I could downsize those slightly to make room for the direct purchase….but obviously now I can’t divide them up.
