Okay - made the plunge and cut our Disney trip down by two days to stay @ RPH to get FOTL access. But now my questions are:

What is the parking situation at the IOA and US? Do onsite guests pay for parking @ the parks?

What is the parking situation at the hotel? I understand that there is a charge...

What is the easiest way to get from RPH to US and IOA? Are there busses like Disney or are they in walking distance?

TIA for your help

Yes you pay for parking at your hotel. Why? I don't know.Your resort is a few steps away from the parks. It's not like disneyn with the parks miles away from each other. If you stayed at the Boardwalk or beach club it would be like the walk to Epcot.
You will have a great time at universal trust me.

Thanks for the info. I am looking forward to the experience! I have a lot of friends in South Jersey!!

Just park your car at the hotel and leave it there. You won't need it to get to the parks or City Walk. You can walk everywhere or take the water taxi to City Walk and walk to the parks from there. It's so easy to get around at Universal!!

HRH, because it is so close to USF has a big problem with "day trippers", non-guests parking in their lot and walking over to citywalk.

IMHO it has not been resolved in any way. Last time I was there you could usually drive right in as no one was at the gate or they let you in if you have the right story. It is not difficult to bypass the daily parking fee. So the guests are the ones who pay for it all while these people use the pool and walk over to the parks.

You can always tell the non-guests, they are ones with a backpack and their own towels. You also get some "working girls" who are working around the HRH pool. When you are there keep your eyes open and you will see. One year it was a running joke between me and wifey that this one girl was with a different man every day. But I digress.

Go figure.
