Another Newbie Banking Question

We are brand new members and are booking at OKW for a 2 BR May 17-22. This only requires 135 points. I have a June UY so I have to bank my remaining points by Jan 31. I want to waitlist for VWL, BCV, and BWV for this week and see if I can't get closer to the Magic Kingdom b/c of having small kids. If I bank my points and then my waitlist comes through, is there anyway of getting to them (ie, borrowing) or would this just not work. The problem being the 2 BR at the other resorts require 160 points.

You can't borrow the points that you banked, but you can borrow from next years points.

I actually did this last fall. I have an April use year and banked my remaining 2008 points in June to make a May 2009 reservation, thinking I would be making anymore reservations before that date. In September, I decided to go to Disneyland in early December, so I borrowed 2009 points.
