Another Meal Plan Question....

OK, here goes....I have all my dinner reservations taken care of and have used up all of our table service meals. We will be unable to split any of these meals as they are mostly signature meals (req 2 tickets) or buffets. So, even though we have used up our dinner coupons, we are going to be two dinners short per person during our stay!

I'm thinking we will probably split a burger and fries most lunches using our counter coupons and therefore will have extra counter coupons left over. So, my question....Can you use counter coupons for your dinner meal? I have been thinking that the counter coupons are only good for lunch meals as many of the restaurants have a lunch and than a dinner menu. But for example, a place like the Backlot Express at MGM or the Liberty Inn at Epicot....could I eat a dinner meal using only the counter coupons?

From what I understand, the main difference between the two coupons is one is for "fancier" places where we are served and you get an appetizer while the other is for "counter service" and no appetizer...but does it matter on the time of day they are used?

You can use your CS for any meal. It includes the entree, dessert and beverage (no dessert at breakfast). We used some for breakfast at the Pop Century, Lunch at Liberty Sq, Lunch at Flame BBQ in AK. It works the same for TS, you can use them at any meal.

The CS CM are MUCH more lenient about orders. Most told us that if the children (S8, D5) didn't like anything on the kids menu, they could order off the adult menu. Usually, I would just get in line while H and kids found a table and just order what we wanted. I would split Chicken strips with one kid and H split burger or other with the other. We were able to get almost all of our meals on the plan by doing that.

Breakfast is a cheaper meal so we really didn't "waste" the CS meal on that. All of the family usually got the Mickey Mouse Waffles kids meal which included 2 waffles, 2 strips of bacon and apple sauce for only $3.59.

You won't have any coupons. They are credits that will be electronically on your room cards.

You can use a counter service anytime you wish, for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

For each night of your stay you will get one counter service, one table service (sid-down meal where you are served), and one snack credit per person on the plan.

It's very easy to share counter service meals. Especially at burger places where you can get a double cheeseburger and split that. DH and I do it every trip, and they were all pre- dining plan.
