If you buy just a one day pass - does it cover the mardi gra parade?

2) Is this children friendly for a 3 year old and 9 year old.

3) The bands - what time do they start playing? I am not familiar with the "graveyard" This is a first trip to Universal and Islands of Adventure

4) Where is the best place to be to see the parade??

The bone yard is over by twister. The parade is children friendly if they are in the child area. If you are in the regular area you will get a person like MIB that will reach over your head and just snag the beads out of your hands. The concert normally begins right after the parade ends. The best place to see the parade, there are so many it is hard to say. I normally try to find a place that they can't have too many people in the are and has something behind you so that they can't throw the beads too far.

 He doesn't steal them from children!!!

Just short adults...which is most everyone else...

Thanks for the info. I guess I would be one of those "short" people he would be stealing the beads from. Guess I will just have to take my husband's handcuffs just in case he gets behind me - that will keep his little paws off my beads. LOL

1) If the bands start after the parade, what time does the
parade start and end ?
2) Are the attractions still open while the parade and band
is going on ?
3) Where is the special "kids section" ?

thanks

The parade usually starts at park closing and takes about 30 minutes to wind itself around the park. The attraction queues close at park closing, but if you're in the queue before park closing, then you get to stay in line until it's your time to ride. There was a special Little Jester's area for kids around the old Herc and Xena building last year.

There was one across from the Monsters cafe location.

If you do not get your kids in the special kids area then make sure you have a "right on the curb" seat/standing area. Kids in the front row along the curb recieve special treatment by those throwing the beads and dabloons.

At 6'4" no one behind me gets many beads. I usually stand 3 deep back from the curb, so others do have a fighting chance. :p :p

We are no longer in the bead collection mode of our lives so we distribute those we catch either during the parade or as we leave the park. :smooth:

Not anymore, MIB999999...

Actually, now he stands behind the kids and I, so we're the only ones who he can steal them from in front of him...

We DEFINITELY have too many beads around here, so while we'll enjoy catching them...there is certainly no need for us to be rude about it! :)

I could probably use them to make a doorway like Mike Brady used to have... :jester:
Nah...we'll give them to kids as we leave! :)
