Another Magic Express Service Question

I have read the posts that say that when you use Magic Express Service that your luggage does not arrive at the same time you do.
My question is this;
If you have a flight that is landing late will it still take 4 hours to get your luggage? I do not want to check in at midnight and get a knock on the door at 4:00am that our luggage is here.
Also,do you think I should just grab my luggage and bring it to the shuttle with me or will this be a real hassle?

2 things we did for our honeymoon:

1. we arrived at 1230a so we packed our shower kits on our carry-ons and the clothes we were going to wear in the park the next morning.

2. ask to have bell services keep your bags until the morning. If you put your "do not disturb" sign on the door, they will not wake you.

Thanks! I am actually going to pack everything we need for the night and let them hold the bags if we do get in that late.

They have up to 4 hours after flight lands/you check in a ME at the airport to get your bags to you. It doesn't always take that long. When we went after Thanksgiving last year they took about 2 1/2 hours.

If you are arriving very late, then I would take the previous posters suggestion.

when you arrive and if your luggage is not in your room. just call bell services and ask not to be delivered until the next morning.

the problem with going and getting yourself is that you might be there long enough for the DME to quit....

I waited once over 4 hours for the luggage to be delivered - the plane got to Orlando early. the ground crew got the flights mixed up and delivered our luggage to another area......

believe me you are better off having DME deliver it - most of the time.

I would carry on some luggage that you might need that night and the next morning. - be sure to carry your tickets - so you can go to the parks.

we arrived around 10pm at the hotel and our luggage arrived about 45 mins later. but we did pack what we needed for the nite and the morning just in case. but you can ask bell services to hold if you want. but hopefully the luggage won't be too far behind you if its later at nite.

We have learned to pack in carryon's. So we take them with us on the ME bus.
