Yes! It's a wood heater, throw the firewood in and shut the door. A lot less mess than open fireplaces, thankfully because my housework skills are sadly lacking..

I guess it's true. It does taste better than ever. But it's still totally nasty. Just slightly less than before.

Reminds me of when I was a kid.

This liver doesn't taste so bad when you add potatoes, onions and bacon to it and fry it all up.

Yeah mom, but all that other stuff tastes better without the liver.

Thanks for thinking of us. We're at a hotel. I was more concerned about losing power than anything. So far, it hasn't been bad at all. Parts of our county have lost power, but I don't know if our home was included in that. We decided to evacuate to a hotel with a generator just in case the entire area loses power. The biggest challenge was finding food. Everything closed down early, including the restaurant in our hotel. We finally found a pizza place willing to deliver, even though the roads were officially closed at 3:00. A few people appear to be ignoring the closure, but we're staying put.
