Maybe this thread and a few others remind him of "happier" times before his Mom's passing. So it might take a while. But like you, I miss him a lot and all the fun he brought to our summer.

What an exciting weekend! My Saturdays are filled with band competitions right now. I chaperoned this weekend. 17 1/2 hours of fun! We won first place and swept all captions!! Love those kids. They work hard and never, ever complain.

Sherry, I loved band competitions and helping with the band!! As a substitute teacher and a friend of the director I actually subbed in band (luckily not at a competition) and would practice marching with the kids. Kudos on 1st place.....we did that a few times, too! Enjoy!!!
