Another lovely day in Oklahoma. . .

Yep, still moving Saturday. We're pretty much under control..but I like to think we'll never have it done in time. It makes me work harder lol

We've moved all the boxes ourselves and hired movers to get the couches and beds and all the rest of it. Boxes are one thing, a six tonne futon is another ::yes::

Moving urgh, one of the most tedious things ever.

It's not the heat that gets me so much as the humidity. I don't like stepping outside and having it feel like I'm walking through thick air. Plus, as I may have mentioned a time or two (hundred), I have MS and heat/humidity can be quite bad for me so I try to avoid it at all costs. If it's summer, I'm within arms reach of a fan or a/c.

I hate getting out of the shower and start sweating, but it is so humid here it happens no matter how high I crank the ac.

This is off topic but as a weather nerd, I have to know. Have you ever seen a tornado? Have you ever experienced one? Would you ever say no to an international guest who may or may not want to visit you during peak tornado season :teeth:

Yes, I was driving home from work one day and could see a tornado ahead of me and one behind me. I just kept driving and they went north of where I was going.

I've lived in this house off and on for 27 years (it's my folks house) and had tornados come near, but never lost so much as a shingle. . so yeah, come on down anytime!

Just bring beer. ;)

LOL I was the opposite when I read that. I was like, COOL. Obviously, I realize that tornados are serious business and that they can cause mass devastation, and I am not making light of them at all, but the number one thing on my bucket list is to see a tornado in person..from a safe distance. Not to be stuck under a bridge while one sucks my truck up a la Twister. Don't even get me started on that movie :sad2:

..even though I can honestly say I've easily seen it over 100 times.

My kids love that movie lol.

And yeah, it would be spectacular to see a tornado so long as it was over 'there' and not hurting anyone.

That was filmed just north of where I live.

I've driven over the bridge where the cow flys by several times.

'Cow...'
'Nother cow'
'Actually I think that was the same one'
'I gotta go, we got cows'

LOL I can pretty much do that for the whole movie. My family hates when I go on a Twister bend

It's a horrible movie, but I've watched it about 50 times and would watch it again if it was on right now. LOL!

:D

Bill Paxton is such an awful actor. :rotfl2:
